    HSE Intern

    • Heineken Beverages offers exciting opportunities to suitable candidates for potential placement in our SHE department. This position will be based at the Wadeville Production and will report to the SHE Manager.
    • Purpose of the Position:The intention is to give practical work experience to students in their last year of study and require exposure in a work environment or have a prerequisite to have practical work experience before qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract commencing 01 April 2026 and terminating 31 March 2027.

    Dry Goods Manager

    • The Dry Goods Manager is accountable for the end-to-end processes and performance of the Dry Goods department at Springs that will ensure the delivery of quality materials on time and in full.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure safe operating protocols are followed on each shift
    • Ensure that the site meets the Packaging plan on time & in full through effective material management processes.
    • Ensure FIFO principles are followed on each transaction. 
    • Ensure a stable 4-week production plan by ensuring material availability
    • Conduct stock takes as per agreed procedures including variance explanations.
    • Drive & maintain minimum raw materials levels.
    • Management of high-risk materials, expiry & Write-offs, this includes slow moving and obsolete stock.
    • Support PIPO process for the site ensuring timely data submission and on time conclusion of consumption or write offs. 
    • Ensure effective material governance and reporting.
    • Enforce adherence to warehouse capacity and storage principles.
    • Ensure competent and motivated personnel within the Materials department.
    • Ensure adherence & compliance to the Quality Management System and relevant policies, procedures, work instructions and Standard Operating Principles always.
    • Drive innovation and business improvements in support of operational goals.
    • Support end to end PML processes on site.

    The Successful candidate must preferably have the following experience/skills:

    • Relevant Tertiary Degree in Production, Operations Management or Supply Chain management. 
    • Proven track record of working within an FMCG materials management environment.

    • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage people with diverse backgrounds.

    Sales Force Intelligence Manager

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially astute Sales Force Intelligence Manager to join our team. The purpose of the Sales Force Intelligence Manager, is to identify, obtain/ unlock and analyse market, product and sales team performance information, apply critical thinking and tools to convert this into relevant market intelligence which in turn gets incorporated into business planning, operational optimization and sales incentive engineering for South Africa.

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    Unlock Insights and Lead Execution of the National Sales Force

    • Identify key National Insights/ trends (Consumer/ Customer/ Competitor/ Category/ Brand etc) and report to the Sales Force Management for business plan incorporation.
    • Develop the National framework/strategy within which regions can build their regional business plans and must-win battles.
    • Standardize and ensure effective regular insights/ intelligence reporting between head office, and regional functions.
    • Highlight and report national/regional risks identified – which may require quick turnaround/ implementation of trade execution plans.
    • Work with cross-functional team to create strong holistic commercial plans to fuel sustainable profitable growth for HEINEKEN.
    • Continuously evaluate zone SWOT analysis through market visits.

    Market Intelligence Reporting 

    • Publish comprehensive Market Share Reports with Insights and Actionable items for the teams.
    • Use digital platform for reporting and automation.
    • Gather competitor information through engagement with Customers and Sales force of the regions/channels within the national landscape.
    • Gather in-trade insights through engagement with Consumers, Sales force, and Trade.

    Sales Reporting

    • Continually drive standardization and simplification of sales intelligence reporting within the salesforce and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Design and develop automated reporting processes for the National Salesforce – ensuring full visibility and access.
    • Establish Push Reporting capability, driving relevant information to sales teams highlighting opportunities for improvement and excellent execution.
    • Deploy sales intelligence tools ensuring complete understanding by end-users through regular training and on-site engagement with Regional Sales teams across South Africa.
    • Provide analytical input to guide and influence strategic decisions of the Sales Force Leadership Team.
    • Leads and provides direction to the Sales Force Leadership team on performance measurement and tracking.

    Management of Incentive Model ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment between the Zone and National Sales Intelligence Strategy

    • Support the target setting process for the regions across all key Sales metrics – Volume, GI, PICOS, Sales input measures etc and ensure timely cascading.
    • Ensure that there is ongoing tracking and management of sales incentives and support the month end process as a reviewer.
    • Collation of various sales sources to form one single resource set for sales teams.

    Drive Trade Audit Strategy and execution in the Zone through engagement with internal (Trade Marketing, Sales) and external suppliers

    • Conversion of sales data into sales intelligence through deep analysis and interpretation of relevant data sources.
    • Ensure timeous delivery of predefined reports and exception reports to the Sales Force Leadership.
    • Provide reporting tool training when necessary.
    • Ensure Picture of Success and changes thereof is accessible and understood by key players to ensure Trade Audit Strategy is cascaded.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales intelligence processes, tools, and systems.

    Team Management

    • Ability to set clear goals and align team efforts with organizational objectives.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor or Honors degree, preferably in an analytical and data field, e.g., econometrics, business or financial economics, business informatics, mathematics, computer science, statistics, data management (or similar).

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    • 7+ years FMCG / Digital Experience.
    • Strong commercial acumen with cross functional experience in Sales, Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain/Logistics/Distribution within FMCG.
    • Experience in partnering with Regional Sales Execution Teams.
    • Master in Excel and eager to learn new programs.
    • Matrix stakeholder engagement experience.
    • Specialists in data analytics tools and development of Power BI dashboard experience would be advantageous.

    Logistics Controller - Bloemfontein

    The purpose of the position:

    • The effective management of inventory received, stored and dispatched to ensure OTIF delivery of quality products and achievement of financial imperatives.
    • Act as the custodian of the Warehouse Management System at the site level (Super User).

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    Inventory Planning

    • Check depot days of cover daily and communicate with Planning if required
    • Report all stockouts to depot, sales and Planning
    • Liaise with planning to resolve stock issues 
    • Plan correct storage location for products in liaison with Logistics Manager/ Inventory Clerk (ABC Analysis)
    • Plan, create Physical Inventory Documents for monthly stock counts 
    • Reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum.
    • Ensure optimal stock availability and stock rotation.

    Customer Service

    • Maintain the highest possible level of customer service. (Internal and external).
    • Ensure customer complaints are solved swiftly and efficiently.
    • Help enable superior customer service as measured by On Time In Full (OTIF)

    Risk Control

    • Manage stock movements and documentation in accordance with the ICC and Internal/External Audit controls.
    • Evaluate and maintain stock loss control procedures on an ongoing basis (incl breakages).
    • Ensure that stacking heights are maintained.
    • Risk Audits Conducted

    Quality Control

    • Ensure routine Quality Control inspections in the Distribution Centre.
    • Ensure quality control checks on receipt of stock and before dispatch of stock.
    • Ensure the FEFO principle is applied to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for the warehouse.
    • Adherence to stock age policy, ensure that all concessions are raised and approved.
    • Adherence to product recall policy, monitoring outer packaging quality, and quality audits conducted.
    • Administer the execution of the product recall process at the site level.
    • Daily and monthly physical inventory count
    • Conduct stock count according to company standards and procedures.
    • Ensure that handheld devices used in the stock process are set up correctly and maintained accordingly.

    Inventory Management

    • System and site preparation completed to enable effective stock counts.
    • Generate and action pre-stock take reports.
    • Process all stock adjustments before starting stock take, including sorted containers.
    • Start stock take on SAP and upload physical stock count from the stock take system.
    • Generate and store the stock variance report and investigate all variances via root cause analysis.
    • Post all authorised unresolved variances per stock count instance.
    • End stock take on SAP and generate and store relevant posting and audit reports.

    Secondary Distribution Shipments

    • Ensure that all post goods issues have been processed for all deliveries and driver corrections.
    • All proof of delivery notes have been checked and accounted for
    • Reconcile invoices to shipments and deliveries daily
    • Ensure that all daily load plans and distribution gate registers have been checked and are on file
    • Assist with resolving and correcting invoice queries.

    Primary Distribution Shipments

    • Ensure that all post goods issues have been processed
    • Check that no deliveries have been posted goods issues without shipments.
    • Ensure that all inter depot movement notes have been checked against the inter depot gate register and filed.
    • Follow up on all inter-depot in-transit shipments if not received.
    • Inter depot claims must be logged in accordance with the claim procedure.
    • Confirm inter depot movements with despatching sites monthly.

    Missing, broken and foreign reporting

    • Ensure missing, broken, and foreign surveys are conducted according to policy.
    • Ensure missing, broken and foreign survey sheets are captured daily.
    • Communicate missing foreign and broken items for follow-up with customers.
    • Charge depots/drivers and/or 3PL‘s for shortages.

    Financial control

    • Ensure that all stock postings are posted to the correct accounts.
    • Variance commentary compiled and submitted to management with trend analysis.
    • Highlight high-risk incidents with respect to losses stemming from damage, theft and quality write-offs.
    • Ensure that the operational costs per litre are contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilisation.
    • Budgeted EBIT growth targets achieved.

    Recruitment and Selection (where applicable)

    • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.
    • Ensure effective manpower planning.

    Training and Development (Where applicable)

    • Identify training & development needs and do succession planning.
    • Ensure that on-the-job training takes place within departments. 
    • Input into the training needs analysis to ensure sustainability and continuation.
    • Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to ensure continuous improvement. 
    • Ensure that all Employees are conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures.

    Employee Relations (Where applicable)

    The successful candidate must have the following Skills and experience:

    • Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification, Diploma or Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain. 
    • At least 2-3 years minimum total years of relevant experience in a FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment.
    • Proficient in MS suite, SAP, and SuccessFactors.
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills.
    • The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary.
