    Plant Manager: Bellville

    • You are accountable for managing large manufacturing sites to deliver customer service levels, quality, manufacturing standards and  manufacturing results as per the defined SC KPIs and additional metrics defined in the SLA applicable to the manufacturing plant. You will also act as a counterpart for the business unit / category lead in the S&OP process to ensure execution of supply chain. You are responsible for production execution, asset maintenance, technology and projects for the category as well as quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems. You will drive continuous improvement and MECP within your cluster to ensure leverage of the manufacturing scale while reducing conversion costs.

    What you will do:

    • Provide general management, within the matrix organisation, over the Manufacturing Plant including quality assurance/control, safety, human resources, finance, manufacturing execution, engineering, materials management and information systems.
    • Lead the MECP change programmes, principles, objectives and target setting.  Support the implementation  and integration of  MECP Pillars.  Sign-off on the linking of MECP loss and cost concepts entrenching a true cost conscious management culture.
    • Accountable for manufacturing plants programs for plant process optimization to include continuous improvements in quality, safety, conformance to schedule, manufacturing costs, productivity, and efficiency.  Establish and drive the strategies and standards required to deliver against business plans translating internal and external analysis into strategy and action
    • Drive strategic capability development initiatives at the manufacturing sites; lead and influence the broader development planning process.
    • Develop and demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process and technologies. Identify and align projects that drive value creation to manufacturing strategies.  Execute the factory CAPEX plan.
    • Ensure coordination of effective strategies, planning, communication and cooperation among all plant functions, suppliers, vendors, contractors and other plants or locations

    Sales Director: HPC

    • You are accountable for growing sales profitably across Southern Africa in line with the Tiger Brands HPC growth strategy. In close collaboration with categories, you will develop, execute the customer and shopper (channel) strategy needed to achieve the growth objectives in General and Modern Trade together with Pharmacy sector, alongside building new channels. You bring the voice of the customer to the table, overseeing customer marketing and revenue management,  including pricing, promotional spend and portfolio mix, investment strategies and developing initiatives to align the organisation together, ensuring excellent customer experience and in-store execution delivery. You leverage customer insights to identify innovation potential across categories. You are dedicated to improving the capability of the sales management team and making Tiger a great place to work.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Lead the execution of a sales strategy which is aligned with the route to market priorities set by categories and delivers their growth targets
    • Work closely with key customers to strengthen our relationships and go to market plans, monitor competitor activity, and identify opportunities to increase sales
    • Oversee customer marketing and revenue management, setting pricing architecture, promotional strategy and mix optimisation to grow net revenue, delivering the customer and shopper marketing agenda in line with building brands in store. Recommend insights priorities and select agencies to work with from roster
    • Develop an investment strategy for customers, categories and channels which delivers effective trade returns and pricing strategy
    • Lead the customer joint business planning process, negotiating all aspects of trading terms and oversee engagement with major distributors and key accounts
    • Recommend innovation relevant to channels – pack format, promotion, activation, etc.
    • Monitor promotion effectiveness (ROI) and take corrective action where required
    • Manage key account and sales operations teams to ensure sales and execution targets are met and service levels are maintained (as defined by ROAR metrics)
    • Set the trade category management agenda and establish initiatives to embed category management capability
    • Develop sales talent through formal initiatives and maintain our talent pipeline including equity requirements. Engage programs that deliver field force automation, mobility and improved access to sales intelligence
    • Work with Supply Chain, providing input into the PS&OP process – demand forecast being most critical factor, utilising scanned data from customers to inform decisions
    • C​losely monitor and manage customer KPIs, striving to protect customer profit pools

    Experience

    • Over 7 years' experience negotiating and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
    • BCom degree specialising in Business Management or similar
    • Experience in both Modern and General Trade
    • Experience of managing the sales P&L (gross margin) and achieving distribution, revenue and market share targets

    Regional Bakeries Director: Coastal

    • The General Manager will provide overall leadership and accountability for the PMB, Durban and Cape Town bakeries, ensuring delivery of the Bakeries Business Strategy, sustainable growth, cost leadership and operational excellence.
    • The GM will have direct accountability for the performance of all three bakeries. The General Manager will also have direct operational responsibility for managing the PMB bakery.

    • Ensure effective capacity planning, stock management and inter-bakery supply.
    • Lead continuous improvement across manufacturing and distribution operations.

    Execute the Bakeries Business Strategy

    • Translate the Bakeries strategy into clear priorities and actions for each bakery.
    • Ensure execution of strategic initiatives and agreed business plans.
    • Track performance against targets and intervene early where performance is off track.
    • Build accountability and ownership at Bakery Manager level.

    • Ensure full compliance with the BMR, Company policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
