    Specialist Marketing

    Role Purpose

    The Specialist: Vodacom Business Marketing role based within Vodacom Business.

    This role will be responsible for bringing the strategy to life, via the planning and execution of product and segment marketing activities across various communication channels, brand development and products and services.  To drive real business impact including increasing market share. 
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Skills to effectively deliver the right  B2B message, to the right segment, at the right time, 
    • Skill to consistently apply Vodacom/ Vodafone Brand Framework, Purpose and pillars within all marketing activities and embedding them across the business
    • Aligns multiple marketing activities to reinforce consistent Vodacom Business Brand communications. Skill and creativity that is applied to developing insightful and consistent marketing content to build Vodacom Business brand equity, share, NPS 
    • Manage, maintain and improve effective relationships with partners and suppliers.  Challenge partners and suppliers to move beyond the usual and think outside the box 
    • Skill to effectively and consistently use digital technology within customer touchpoints to improve the Vodacom Business experience. Fully integrate digital into campaign strategy. Develop and execute budget plans based on a positive ROI and in line with sales objectives. 

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • GTM planning and execution
    • Brand management and advocacy.

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing/ events /communication environment (Essential)

    Property Specialist : Lease Management

    Role Purpose

    • To manage the lease portfolio of the Region by ensuring agreements are in place and paid for all Network Infrastructure, ensuring payments are made for electricity consumption, ensuring SOX compliance and managing the accruals and provisioning of the portfolio. 

    Your responsibilities will include

    • To oversee the process of signing -, loading on all the applicable tools - and payment of lease agreements for new Network Infrastructure.
    • To manage the negotiating - and signing of lease renewals.
    • To ensure electricity consumption of all Network Infrastructure is paid.
    • To ensure SOX – and POPI Act compliance of the complete lease portfolio.
    • To manage the rent accruals – and electricity provisions of the portfolio. 

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Relevant 3 year Degree / Diploma (BSc, B.Tech, S4, N6, T3) (Essential)
    • 5 or more years relevant experience (Essential)  
    • Experience in Lease negotiations (Essential)
    • Understanding of basic Telecommunications principles  
    • Knowledge of Policies and procedures

    Project Leader

    Role Purpose

    To ensure that network projects are completed according to set schedules and within budget by liaising with different role players, applying sound project management principles, reporting on progress and strictly following company governance procedures.
     

    Your responsibilities will include

    • To manage all aspects of Transmission and Radio Access Network roll-out and upgrade projects
    • To liaise with different role players to ensure projects are completed according to set schedules and within budget.
    • To conduct weekly contractor, supplier and internal project team meetings to ensure progress of projects to schedule, budget and set requirements.
    • To request purchase orders to ensure that projects are completed as per the set rollout schedules, within the set budget and up to Vodacom quality standards.
    • To enter into price negotiations with current and proposed suppliers to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and ensuring a cost saving on Capex expenditure.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Relevant Technical Qualification  (e.g. engineering)  - Degree/Diploma/T3/S4/N6 National Diploma (essential)
    • Certificate in Project Management (desirable); 
    • Certificate / diploma in Business Management or Logistics (desirable); 
    • Drivers Licence Code 08 (essential)
    • 3 years' experience in managing projects  (essential); 
    • 1 year experience in business management / finance / budget control (desirable);

    Data Governance Analyst

    Role Purpose:

    • An individual with responsibility for particular information data domain, produced in a business function.  Directly accountable for implementation and adoption of the controls in the Data Governance Policy.  Forging strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the organisation to implement and help them govern the domains across their functions and to report on the alignment against the Policy with strong recommendations , unlocking and resolving complex business challenges and making recommendations. 
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the Data Owners and Stewards in identifying and defining the core business domains and attributes, including glossary.
    • Understanding the systems architecture for the business functions they represent and proposing architecture changes.
    • Coordinate and Align with data governance project teams and the IT data governance team driving delivery.
    • Support the Functional data Owner and Champion in managing their deliverables.
    • Design and implement with IT the controls from a technical perspective to ensure all controls are met.
    • Understand and document the business processes.
    • Align Data Governance with the Security and Privacy teams.
    • Consistently Engage stakeholders on delivery objectives.
    • Consistent Alignment with Business units, IT teams, and Data Stewards ensuring handover and understanding of the asset is achieved.
    • Design and implement the data quality model.
    • Support the Vodacom Opcos, with leveraging off SA Data Governance Models and assisting with aligment.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Relevant Degree preferably an Engineering degree.
    • Abinitio essential for Data Quality (Express IT) and Business processes.
    • Experience working in a Data Governance team for 2 years or more.
    • Strong Qliksense development capabilities.
    • Strong SQL skills across all databases.
    • AWS Training.
    • Working experience of 3 – 5 years.
    • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Strong SQL skills across various systems.
    • Strong documentation skills, to be able to document and make recommendations as well as identifying compliance gaps.
    • Identification of Data Quality gaps, raising issues and driving resolution.
    • Strong process design and refinement skills.
    • Clear understanding of organisational strategic objectives, KPIs and business drivers.
    • Strong front end visualisation skills in Qliksense and working with Abinitio data models.
    • Clear understanding of technical data models, and data structures to ensure Data Governance controls are implemented successfully.
    • Experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics within a SAFE Agile Environment.
    • Proven track record in successful implementation of Data Driven Initiatives.
    • Proven affinity to work across teams.

    Project Accountant

    Role purpose:

    Primarily responsible for compiling and managing the Radio Access Network (RAN) Capex budget. Ensure that the Capex investment and Capex cash flow targets are achieved in conjunction with all the VSA Regions.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Consolidate input from all business units to compile the RAN Capex budget for the annual Detailed Budget (DB) and Long Range Plan (LRP).
    • Consolidate the Capex project rollout plans monthly and manage the associated cash flow & creditor impact for the rollout.
    • Prepare presentations for the budget meetings and manage all the budget reprioritisations agreed with the various stakeholders.
    • Create WBS’s and ensure budgets are loaded promptly for order placement.
    • Co-ordinate the CIRB motivations, projects, feedback and QBR approvals and update the PPM system.
    • Continuously improve and develop budget management processes to ensure effective budget management practices.
    • Weekly and monthly reporting on Capex budgets.
    • Provide any and all adhoc support to the RAN team.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric (essential).
    • Relevant 3 year qualification in Commerce is essential, e.g. BCom degree.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing Capex budgets is essential.
    • A project management qualification is desirable.
    • Project Accounting.

    Capex Investment Management.

    • Budget preparation and control.
    • Financial systems knowledge e.g. SAP.
    • MS Office and Advanced Excel spreadsheets experience is essential.
    • Knowledge of the equipment used in the RAN.

    Specialist UX designer

    Role Purpose

    The User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI) Designer clearly understands the business objective; target capabilities and end user requirements related to a specific product or proposition and translates these requirements into high-quality user experiences on relevant platform/s. They map out “happy and “sad” journey paths to understand user journeys, and apply in depth knowledge of user centred design, creating wire frames, enabling an optimised customer experience.  They also act an integral part of the design team incorporating high fidelity visual concepts, typography and imagery on to the wire frames; creating user interfaces (for example mobile apps) which display the desired look, style and experience for the user.
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Works closely with the Chapter Lead to design and direct high-quality user interfaces and experiences;
    • Continuously searches for improvements and design innovation to apply to the product/platform which advances the customer experience and works with the squad/team to implement them successfully;
    • Creates online/digital customer journeys aimed at reaching specific business outcomes to understand “happy” and “sad” journey paths / user-flows;
    • Works collaboratively and engages with markets/product teams to define and document user experience requirements for a channel/product/service, ensuring requirements are grounded in technical feasibility and based on open standards (e.g. HTML and CCS);

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric is essential 
    • Degree/Diploma in one or more of these disciplines : Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Information Systems / Informatics, Human Computer Interaction or other related fields
    • Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) or similar certification would be desirable, but not required.
    • Masters in Psychology, Social Sciences advantageous

    OR

    • Matric is essential 
    • 3-5 years working experience in one or more of these disciplines : Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Information Systems / Informatics, Human Computer Interaction or other related fields
    • Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) or similar certification would be desirable, but not required.

    Portfolio Manager Digital Retail

    Role Purpose

    The Online and Self Service team are part of the wider customer and channel management department whose role is to define and optimise the customer experience and channel performance across all touch points, including retail and distribution. The role will be visionary and transformational and lead the change required to transform Vodacom into a fully digital retailer..

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Works across channels to promote and support digital products and services (e.g. My Vodafone App) in line with Vodafone’s digital strategy;
    • Oversees lifecycle of the specific product/channel and its features in order to develop and maintain them.
    • Propose digital first solutions by knowing the relevant products, solutions, features and their customer benefits, and applying this knowledge to segment-specific customer insights via specific propositions;
    • Understands key tools and technologies and supports the team by formulating hypotheses and developing insights to effectively resolve customer issues and enable personalisation;
    • Understands and leverages digital channels and technologies (e.g. iOS, Android, HTML, AI, Cloud, ML etc.) that change the environment.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business or information systems areas (essential)
    • 8 years’ relevant experience in the telecommunications industry (essential)
