    Content Developer - E-Learning / Digital Adoption

    BUSINESS AREA AND TEAM

    This role sits in the Enablement Team which is responsible for all of Xceptor’s learning services and resources including curriculums and courses, certifications, documentation, online community, and learning at the point of need which is integrated into the platform.

    The Enablement team helps users of the Xceptor platform to learn and develop skills and knowledge, empowering them to maximise their use of the platform and accelerate their time to productivity.

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Digital Learning Developer, you will ensure successful implementation of the Digital Adoption Platform, known as the In-app Help and Guidance feature in the Xceptor platform.

    You will liaise closely with content SMEs in the product development team to create, test, and maintain walk-throughs for the Xceptor platform using the WalkMe guided assistance software.

    The successful candidate will be passionate about enabling and empowering users to increase their productivity by providing help at the point of need in the Xceptor platform.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Support the Digital Learning Developer to implement the Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) plan according to the backlog and business goals.
    •  Collaborate with SMEs from the product development team and other relevant stakeholders to write and develop training-based walk-throughs using DAP.
    •  Keep abreast of Xceptor product enhancements to ensure that content is up to date and relevant.
    •  Maintain effectiveness and interaction of published walk-throughs across Xceptor product versions.
    •  Use the error reporting and testing features of the DAP to conduct regression testing and to implement relevant adjustments.
    •  Integrate walk-throughs to the testing process using the DAP or other automated testing , working with the relevant product team QA for initial release.
    •  Build and maintain working relationships with the product team to highlight upcoming changes that may impact existing or future walk-throughs.
    •  Ensure that walk-throughs make a valuable impact by tracking goals and achievements of users.
    •  Support the Digital Learning Developer to develop actionable insights based on user interaction of walk-throughs and goals achieved.

    KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Familiarity with instructional processes (technical writing, instructional design, walk-through development, coaching, or other training or e-learning experience) to develop well planned content flows.
    •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal to enable effective collaboration with SMEs.
    •  Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, and/or JQuery)
    •  Creative thinking, attention to detail, and logical and analytical problem-solving skills to support the structuring and development of content integrated with the product.
    •  Organised with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently to facilitate the differing development timelines of content flows and SME availability.
    •  An ability to take initiative and act in a proactive manner.
    •  A strong desire to expand current knowledge through research and learning.

    In addition, ideally one or more of the following would be beneficial:

    •  Experience with WalkMe or similar digital adoption platform is valuable.
    •  Knowledge of the Agile development model or experience working in an Agile environment for seamless integration with the team.

    Management Accountant

    BUSINESS AREA & TEAM:

    You will be joining the Finance team that consists of another Senior Management Accountant and a Finance Assistant based out of our Cape Town office. We also have two Accountants and the Finance Director that is based out of our London office. Ultimately the Finance team reports into the CFO who is based out of the US.

    The Finance team looks after all operational items in relation to finance, including closing month end/year end, tax obligations, payroll obligations and the AP and AR functions.

    THE ROLE:

    Due to ongoing business growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our finance team in the Cape Town office. The role is full time with focus on delivering month end for two entities and supporting external service providers to complete tax and payroll obligations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review debt collection on a regular basis and assist with credit control matters.
    • Manage Concur Expenses.
    • Liaise with local accountant in SA to provide data when requested.
    • Assist with external tax accountants with the preparation of corporation and employee tax in SA.
    • Support the local auditors with data and review Financial Statements.
    • Oversee management of finance inbox.
    • Provide ad hoc analysis for financial controller.
    • Manage US entity month end close.
    • Support external accounts with preparation of US Corporation tax.
    • Manage SA and US payroll utilising third part service.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Relevant experience in a similar accountancy role.
    • Relevant and demonstrated experience within book keeping and financial accounting.
    • Strong technical skillset and highly proficient in Excel.
    • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
    • Naturally collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Able to effectively prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
    • Hard working, able to respond to evolving needs and manage conflicting priorities.

    Implementation Consultant

    Business area and team

    The Xceptor Delivery Team is responsible for delivering varied Xceptor projects across the financial services industry from short deliverables and consultancy opportunities to longer-term strategic change/transformation projects, across new and existing clients.

    The team provides expertise in how Xceptor can be configured and deployed to solve our client’s business problems.  Usually involved from project inception through to go-live, helping clients analyse, configure, test, deploy and expand their Xceptor platform.  

    The role 

    Our client-facing Implementation Consultants are responsible for ensuring that key relationships with our clients are developed and maintained; assisting them from project inception to ‘go live’. They gather customer requirements by liaising with business teams to produce the right specifications, before configuring our product to meet the needs of our clients and managing the full development cycle and subsequent implementation.

    You will be integral to delivering the projects that you are working on. Our environment is highly collaborative; therefore, you will find yourself being asked to help design solutions as often as you will ask for help yourself. At its heart this is a technical role, however, analysis and communication skills are critical to understanding the business requirements and taking a lead role in delivering the solution. A typical day would involve a variety of activities, involving the whole lifecycle of a project.

    The role will suit someone who enjoys working with both business and technical teams, in a fast, dynamic environment, and who is naturally relationship driven and passionate about meeting our client’s needs.

    Key responsibilities

    • Gathering requirements: Understanding the client's needs and requirements to ensure the solution being implemented meets those needs.
    • Technical design, build and testing: Working closely with the client to design, configure and build the solution.
    • Release management: Providing demos to clients and delivering and supporting release packages.
    • Troubleshooting: Resolving technical issues and answering questions that arise during the implementation process.
    • Communicating with stakeholders: Communicating regularly with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and technical teams, to provide updates on the project's progress and address any concerns.

    Key skills

    Candidates will be able to demonstrate:

    • University degree (or equivalent): Any BSc degree, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Economics or Engineering.
    • Programming language experience with a preference for Object Orientated languages such as C#, C++, Java, Python.
    • Relational Database experience such as SQL or Oracle.
    • Strong XML skills.
    • Preferably some software development experience such as .NET or Java.
    • Elements of the software are designed to allow users to transfer Excel skills; so, a good knowledge of Excel or Access would be beneficial.
    • Relevant experience in a customer-facing role gained with a software solutions organization would be desirable.
