    Bookkeeper/ Administrator - Fedics - Durban South: Jacobs

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist Project Manager with monthly Client Account
    • Comprehensive maintenance of all financial control systems
    • Report any fluctuations on stock consumption reports to the Project Manager
    • Assist Project Manager with once a month surprise Audit Stock Check
    • Risk skills required
    • Liaise with all Project Managers, consolidating all costings for meals and functions and GP monitoring
    • Assist with stock takes. Ensure all invoices received for processing, have been GRV’d on My-Market
    • Computer literate – use of various computer programs ie Word, Excel, My Market, Menutec.
    • Innovative, and use own initiative
    • Must be able to assist with functions, if the need is there
    • Compile weekly summary of Profit and Loss for the unit.
    • Compile all bookkeeping returns required by Regional Office and the unit as per the times stipulated.
    • Ensure all bookkeeping returns and trading analysis figures are balanced by Friday after stock takes.
    • Conduct spot checks in units with Control Sheets vs POS vs Cash Received
    • Conduct Cash Checks in units, balancing to PRS Cash on Hand
    • Administer and manage all Local Debtor transactions and payments
    • Accurate filing of account and financial records.
    • Submit the relevant accurate financial documentation when needed

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Degree/Diploma or Certificate
    • Knowledge of industry advantageous
    • Experience in a similar position an advantage
    • Must be able to work on My Market, Menutec & MS Office
    • Food Background essential

    • Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food and overhead costs.
    • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
    • Check the quantity and quality of received products.

    Catering Manager - Northwest (HC)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Take full responsibility and management of the unit
    • Need to be able to work in a demanding environment
    • Setting and management of service delivery standards
    • Lead, motivate, train and develop a team of staff
    • Implement and maintain operational controls in line within budgetary requirements

    Driver - Durban

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Deliveries and Collections

    • Deliver to and collect items from businesses / client houses.
    • Confirm deliveries and collections by way of a logbook and completed work orders

    Requests

    • Action requests received by the client and logged at the Helpdesk, including but not limited to airport and hotel transfers, transfer of VIP guests; assisting in purchasing of items for upcoming client functions; ad hoc requests; collection of meals; general deliveries and collections; conduct stock take and suite inspections at rugby and cricket suites.
    • Confirm requests by way of a logbook and completed work orders.

    Vehicle Maintenance

    • Ensure driving logbooks are completed daily.
    • Ensure vehicle checks are completed weekly.
    • Maintain vehicle in good order,
    • Keep the vehicle clean and neat ensuring safety belts are always clean and ready for use.
    • Ensure the vehicles always have enough fuel and oil.
    • Ensure vehicle fuel is topped up before a price increase.
    • Check tyre pressure weekly.
    • Ensure the pool vehicles are washed weekly by the onsite car wash or taken to the car wash if too dirty to wash on site.
    • Ensure the vehicles are always fresh smelling. They are not permitted to smell of cigarette smoke at any time.
    • No smoking is permitted in the vehicles.

    Driving Duties

    • Plan which route to take to deliver goods in the most efficient way.
    • Ensure all work orders received are actioned.
    • Ensure that airport and hotel collections are actioned timeously that the passenger / guest does not have to wait – be there ahead of time.
    • Transport VIP guests (international visitors and management; clients)
    • Ensure the Illovo sign used in the airports is clean and neat, inform Reception when to print and laminate a new sign.
    • Bluetooth to be used while driving.
    • Drive within the speed limit or at a slower speed if required e.g., in inclement weather.
    • Ensure vehicle checks have been done before driving the vehicle – if the vehicle is in an unsafe condition report it immediately.
    • Ensure the correct use of PPE.
    • Ensure all work orders actioned are signed off at the end of each day and given to the Helpdesk to be closed.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • Valid driver’s licence with PDP
    • 1-2 years’ experience in similar environment
