    Manager: Xtra Time

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    Responsible for managing the Group-wide Xtratime product portfolio across Opcos. The roles is responsible to establish and manage strategic partnerships supporting the Xtratime business, and drive business growth. The Manager will be responsible for the implementation of best practices across the group and develop Xtratime products and services.

    The Manager: Xtratime is also responsible for setting the overall product strategy and vision, ensuring timely and robust planning and execution through the product lifecycle; including, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and finally ensuring the successful deployment of the product across Opcos.

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goals
    • Manage implementation of the strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps to the Opcos
    • Continuously ensure alignment of product strategy with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem

    • Work with the Product Owner to convert the vision into a level of detail that the Product Owner and Agile delivery team can then prioritize as epics and features
    • Manage and drive implementation of Group Finco’s Xtratime strategy
    • Understand and map customer journeys through the Xtratime product development lifecycle

    Specialist: Data Science – Remittance

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The role of the Data Science specialist  is to structure datasets, leverage internal and, where applicable, external datasets to build and evolve, Group Finco’s Remittance Services capabilities using “best practice” methodologies and statistical techniques.

    Responsible to structure the datasets at both OPCO & Group level, to design and provide insights based on analytics, to structure & deliver through OPCOs the necessary reporting, to develop decision models & data based rules in support of the strategy & plans of the Remittance product portfolio.

    Additionally, the  Data Science specialist is responsible to support the Remittance Products & Services strategy and the associated product/roll-out roadmap, taking direction and guidance to ensure prioritisation and standardisation of deliverables.

    The  Data Science specialist is also responsible to contribute towards operational performance, for both product portfolio and Opco localisation

    Graduate: Group Digital Finance

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    Responsible to support the Digital Finance team in all the functional administration and support related activities (Legal, Contract Management, Procurement, HR, IT, Facilities and Administration), financial planning forecasting and budgeting activities and functional reporting.

    Manager: OTT Partnerships

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The OTT manager will be responsible for the delivery & implementation of Group OTT partner strategy and business portfolio, including partner operational management and execution of initiatives contributing to Group’s overall strategic goals to achieve profitable growth and continuously improved operational performance. Further the manager is responsible for delivering business objectives and manage all strategic partnerships which include our Simfy/PTH partnership for Ayoba. This role involves co-ordinating activities between the Simfy/PTH team and the Opcos and other business units as well as reaching an alignment on priorities and tasks being worked. The role involves gathering and processing Opco requirements, challenges and suggestions and working through them with the Simfy/PTH team on resolutions and providing feedback and a way forward with the Opcos.     Key Deliverables

    The Manager: OTT partnerships will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Monitor products/services and initiatives launched into the market at Group and Opco level

    General Manager: E-Commerce

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The General Manager: E-Commerce is responsible for defining, managing and executing the strategy (product, operating model, acquisition, engagement, retention, experience)  for MTN Group to expend its scope of business and services within the E&M-commerce space through the development, deployment and management of disruptive and mass market E&M-commerce solutions and products.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) (1/2)
    Education:

    • 4-year Business Administration, (or related) Degree
    • Master’s in business administration is advantageous

    Experience:

    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in in program / project management within banking, finance and/or telecommunications industry
    • At least 3 years’ experience within a non-traditional FinTech or Consumer Marketing environment
    • Experience at the management level in the financial sector
    • Experience in defining and project managing the technical and business implementation of digital products and services within a FinServ/FinTech environment
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Experience working across global locations/ regions and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges

    Specialist: UX Designer

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The Specialist: UX (User Experience) Designer is responsible to develop, evaluate, implement and influence world class user experience design for  for Website, Mobile Applications and other Digital Channels whilst conforming to the Group Finco brand fundamentals, through constant product evolution and iteration, and improvements to overall usability, information presentation and process

    The incumbent’s core purpose is to optimise customer experience through usability studies, contributing to translating feature requirements into interactive and visual designs across platforms, and working closely with Technology teams and User Interface (UI) Designers

    Fintech is entering a new phase where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. A separate Company has been set up to drive financial products and services to expand the reach and speed of operations. There is an increased focus in the commercial areas, new products and services and scaling up of Digital capabilities.

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Support strategy execution in line with the overarching business and functional goals within area of specialisation
    • Prioritise own workload, ensuring interaction with co-workers and other key stakeholders in developing implementation plans and executing them
    • Support the formulation and implementation of Digital Channels strategy through financial modelling, analysis, and support

    Operational Delivery

    • Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to confirm business objectives and define user objectives and flows
    • Collaborate with User Research Lead to conduct user interviews and usability sessions to gather and evaluate user requirements
    • Collaborate with User Research leads to conduct user research
    • Translate feature requirements into interactive and visual designs across all products
    • Understand of user behaviour online (desktop, mobile & tablet), and best practice & thinking in this area
    • Create new design concepts through wire-framing, journey mapping and prototypes to convey functionality and conceptual ideas
    • Design user-experiences from wireframes and written specifications to user interface mock-ups and prototypes
    • Work closely with the UI Designers to ensure adherence to design guidelines and best practices across all platforms
    • Facilitate user testing and evaluate user feedback to further improve the concept or existing products
    • Work closely with Development, Implementation and Opco teams to ensure successful implementation of the specified designs

    Governance

    • Participate and provide inputs in ad hoc meetings
    • Execute day-to-day operations

    Reporting

    • Collate and prepare appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly activity and financial performance reports, in accordance with the measurement metrics set by management
    • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of management

    Escalations

    • Resolve escalations as per defined escalation / resolution procedures
    • Notify escalations to senior specialist that have impact on critical path of service delivery or that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impacts if not resolved.

    Function Tactical

    • Participate in adhoc and operational meetings
    • Participate and provide input into tactical meetings as and when required
    • Report at process level

    Performance

    • Assist in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance and quality of products and services in line with defined functionalities and specifications
    • Assist with monitoring and reviewing the performance of external partners against agreed KPIs and SLAs, escalating risks to management
    • Ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations and resolve operational issues as they arise
    • Improve productivity and quality through leading practice initiatives.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) 
    Education:

    • 3-year Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Software Development or related field required

    Experience:

    • 2 – 3 years of experience in a UX/UI design role
    • Minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience in a digital role, ideally at a specialist level, within the financial sector or banking industry, and telecommunications industry
    • Experience in professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications
    • Experience with Agile delivery and Development Operations frameworks
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
    • Experience with design software and wireframe tools
    • Strong creative background to support UX methodologies
    • Understanding emerging markets advantageous
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
    • Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous
    • Willing and flexible to travel within Africa and Middle East
    • English speaker. French, Portuguese, Zulu, Swahili, and other Africa languages a plus
