ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a clerk of works you will be responsible to inspect the workmanship quality and safety of work, performed by construction and maintenance teams/contractors in the home renovation and building construction environment. The clerk of work will ensure quality, compliance and completeness to the scope of work that need to be performed.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Provide visible felt Safety leadership during engagements on building- construction and maintenance sites;
• Inspections of workmanship quality and safety of work performed during home renovations;
• Verifications of compliance, quality and completeness to the scope of work that needs to be performed;
• Conduct site meetings with rental agents, maintenance teams and contractors;
• Discern between repair liabilities (owner, lessee & occupant) for properties and document the work to be performed per category;
• Provide feedback on the performance of contractors;
• Performing regular inspections of the work on site and documenting the quality of work performed including deviations found. Comparing completed work with drawings, specifications and the scope of work that needs to be delivered. Facilitating the process of documenting work to be done on company owned and on rental properties as part of maintenance;
• All duties shall be done with consideration to safety, cost, time and governance.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment of which 3 experience in building/housing specific maintenance;
• Knowledge 1SAP in a maintenance environment;
• Knowledge of general repair and maintenance work related to houses and buildings i.e.: Concrete & Masonry work, Paint application, cupboards, tiles, carpentry, fences, steel work, motor gates, swimming pools, gardens, horticulture, drains systems, aircons, garage door, car ports, facia, roofs, bathrooms, plumbing and hot water systems;
• Knowledge and understanding of the application of the National Building regulations SANS 10400 National Building regulations will be advantageous.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12;
• Valid Trade test (mechanical, electrical, civil or building trade);

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• As a permit issuer you will be responsible to safety of people and prevent harm to environment, equipment, and other property through the permit to work system.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Review permit application and job hazard analysis from the Permit Holder and agreeing the final set of hazard controls for the defined scope of work;
• Discuss roles and responsibilities of all persons under the permit e.g., Defining who is responsible for the implementation of specific hazard controls and recording on the permit i.e., equipment isolation controls managed by Permit Issuer other controls identified on Job Hazard Analysis responsibility of Permit Holder;
• Ensuring all inherent area and equipment hazards are identified, recorded on the Permit to Work, and captured within the Job Hazard Analysis or Safe Work Instruction.;
• Ensure quality of the Job Hazard Analysis or Work Instruction to ensure the document represents a structured risk analysis/hazard control approach.;
• Ensure permits are issued prior commencement of any work that requires permit (s) and permit is returned when the work is completed;
• As permit authorizer incumbent must visit work area and make physical assessment and ensuring permit requirements are adhered to;
• Authorized to stop any work that does not comply to requirements of the work Permit issued and discuss non conformances with relevant permit Holder;
• Ensure he/she signs off the Work Permit upon completion of work.

ABOUT YOU:

• You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an artisan or artisan aide;
• Knowledge and experience of a sinter, ore preparation or DMS.
• Knowledge of hot work, excavation, confine space, working at heights.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with mathematics and science;
• Valid Trade Test is advantageous;
• Valid Code 08 Driver License.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As an artisan Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for timely installation, repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure that mining activities are executed in a safe manner as well as operate equipment and tests all working parts in functional area to ensure proper utilization.  

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
• Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on machines or equipment;
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
• Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
• Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
• Coordinates activities associated with trouble-shooting and repairing maintenance equipment.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years technical experience on Underground Mining Equipment (Atlas Copco 282 rocket Boomer & Boltec 235H, Epiroc Boomer S2);
• Experience in performing major rebuilds and or components rebuild will be an added advantage.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12;
• Trade Certificate – Diesel Mechanic, N2 Technical Certificate;
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
• Code B drivers license
