    Contract, Senior Engineer - JHB

    About the role: 

    As an Engineer, you work in parallel with your peers on larger projects. You take up lead roles on features or product refactoring work. You proactively coach junior members to build a stronger team. You design and implement complex features adhering to Nintex’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle and other relevant guidelines.  

    You design systems of moderate complexity, and new features in existing or new products. You are knowledgeable about the latest technologies. Your work contributes meaningfully to Nintex's long-term goals for a product.  You are a key member of a team that wholly owns services or components, and your suggestions and solutions help your team make meaningful progress.  

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You demonstrate self-sufficiency in at least one large area of the codebase with a high-level understanding of other components. 
    • You articulate code design choices clearly and suggest a feasible way forward. 
    • Besides being proficient in your chosen technology stack, you pick up new technologies quickly and teach others to use them. You share knowledge with the team and improve team productivity. 
    • You implement complex features and act as a primary resource for maintaining existing critical systems. 
    • You positively influence the team by having a reputation for getting things done. 
    • While experiencing conflict in technical approaches and reviews, you critique technical approaches and coach others on improving their work.

    Contract, Senior Automation Test Engineer

    About the role: 

    Senior Automation Test Engineers work on large testing projects and crucial product areas. Using your experience, you guide other team members to improve testing, test automation, and quality. Others seek you out for expert technical guidance on testing. You mentor and build the team's productivity and efficiency in testing and quality. 

    You contribute input for pioneering best practices in test automation to build QA process efficiency. You have a consistent record of strong leadership in the testing and automation domain. 

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You provide guidance on test architecture and drive product releases from a test and overall quality perspective. 
    • You independently write and execute integration and E2E tests. You leverage the Test Pyramid and provide guidance when determining which tests are candidates for Unit, Integration, and E2E tests. 
    • You have an in-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines and lead initiatives for incorporating continuous delivery. 
    • You assist in building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks and seek ways to increase test automation coverage across product teams.

    Contract, Principal Automation Test Engineer

    About the role: 

    Principal Automation Test Engineers are the technical authority on strategic, complex test automation and Quality projects. You support the product and QA domain goals by enabling multiple teams or product areas. You contribute to the company's test automation strategy and its long-term technical direction.  

    You support teams in developing test automation frameworks and explore the latest trends in test automation. You research and lead the adoption of new approaches and technologies while striving for excellence in the test automation domain. You set technical standards and enhance the productivity of testing teams. 

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You design, build, and suggest test architectures to improve automation testing and quality across an entire product portfolio. 
    • You collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Development to ensure automation framework can test the Product Software at multiple points including UI, API, and server code  
    • You lead discussions around test tooling, best practices, and improving test automation. 
    • You demonstrate expertise across various testing tools, languages (C#, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.), and platforms (desktop, cloud, mobile, etc.) 
    • You empower teams to improve test optimization (pass rate, execution speed, etc.), and provide technical guidance on improving delivery speed. 
    • You create new or refactor existing test frameworks from the lowest levels for increased efficiency and empower non-technical audiences to be able to understand and use the framework 
    • You provide guidance in setting up test infrastructure and test environments to support   continuous delivery with automation.  
    • You identify and research emerging technologies that will serve the wider engineering group to aid testing efficiency. 
    • You identify and provide ongoing technical guidance to team members across Nintex and mentor selected engineers to increase team’s overall quality and productivity. 
    • You demonstrate expert knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility, reliability, etc.) and use that knowledge to build-out automated testing solutions that ensure acceptance and quality in non-functional testing. 
    • You attend and contribute to team meetings and ceremonies (daily scrum meetings, planning meetings, demos, and retrospective meetings) on a need basis. 
    • You actively look at ways to improve Nintex’s quality and testing landscape and encourage re-use and knowledge sharing.

    To be successful, we think you need:  

    • Experience working on localization projects
    • 6+ years experience with automation testing
    • Selenium experience as well as PlayWright, Jmeter etc

    Associate DevOps Engineer - South Africa

    About the role: 

    You pursue and demonstrate a sound and deepening knowledge of DevOps fundamentals, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, quality, and security. With the guidance of more experienced Engineers, you deploy infrastructure into multiple environments, using automation where applicable.  You are starting to actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of infrastructure, pipelines and other DevOps capabilities.     • Exposure to cloud infrastructure i.e. AWS/Azure/GCP
    • Experience with building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines
    • Kubernetes
    • Terraform will be advantageous
