    Financial Manager CIS Fund | Constantia, Western Cape

    Job description:

    An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Manager who will be responsible for the financial function relating to Collective Investment Scheme “CIS” Funds. The incumbent will work closely with the CFO and other financial managers in the division as well as the heads of the CIS departments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the full financial function of CIS funds
    • Monthly review of financial reports and key controls within the CIS control environment
    • Preparation of CIS tax returns and responsible for ongoing CIS related tax matters
    • Preparation of all funds for audit within the required deadlines
    • Liaising and working closely with external auditors to ensure that all reporting deadlines are met
    • Preparation of annual financial statements for CIS funds and companies within required timeframe to meet regulatory submission deadlines
    • Completion and submission of any other relevant regulatory reporting
    • Assist with audit pack completion
    • Assess and enhance all related internal controls within the control environment
    • Finding ways to improve efficiency of the reporting function
    • Identify unusual trends or anomalies that require further analysis and explanation

    Minimum requirements:

    • 3-5 years’ relevant, related work experience within the CIS environment in the financial services industry
