    Marketing Manager (REMOTE)

    Job description

    Hustler Marketing is now hiring a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the marketing and branding of the company. You will be responsible for spreading Hustler’s brand image across relevant online channels, and for improving the positioning and presence of the brand. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to generate qualified leads for our sales team.  Reporting to the CEO, key deliverables will include the following:

     Conduct market research and analysis.

    By July 1st 2020, and in consultation with the CEO:

    • undertake a full market and competitor analysis, and assess the market potential of the company’s services in the next 2 years. Identify potential partners, understand competitor strategies and how to respond, and compare types of opportunities to pursue.
    • undertake an audit of all current marketing practices, systems, processes, policies and tools, and identify areas for improvement.
    • assess the company’s current brand presence as well as the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and costs of the company’s current business development and marketing approach.
    • conduct client satisfaction surveys/interviews in order to ascertain (i) the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s current services, (ii) the rate of adoption of the company’s services, and (iii) potential opportunities to upsell current clients.
    • investigate the latest, cutting edge marketing tools and mixes that will drive the uptake of the company’s services by current and new clients and achieve financial results.

     Evolve and implement a marketing strategy and marketing KPIs.

    By September 1, 2020, based on the above research and evidence, and in collaboration with the CEO, define and implement a marketing strategy and KPIs for the company. In particular:

    • complete all internal training and come up to speed with all company systems within 3-4 weeks of hire.
    • undertake a thorough audit of the company’s current marketing SOPs and implement necessary improvements.
    • define, quantify, and articulate the company’s ideal target market for the next two years in relation to (i) expanding sales efforts in markets in which the company already has entry, and (ii) potential new clients.
    • determine and implement the ideal mix of email, social media (paid and organic), website, and other marketing approaches (e.g. webinars) required to reach the target market and meet financial goals (see #3 below). Identify specific marketing opportunities related to pricing, promotion, and placement with customers, partners, and market influencers.
    • assess how to optimize performance on current channels (i.e. Facebook and LinkedIn) (see #3 below), and assess the pros and cons of adding/expanding additional marketing channels (especially YouTube and Guru Masterminds) and make recommendations regarding the same.
    • assess paid traffic channels, and determine whether to continue or where to expand on the paid traffic side.
    • determine how best to increase brand recognition of services through (i) conference attendance, (ii) case studies, (iii) webinars, and (iv) content marketing over various social media channels, (v) podcasts, and (vi) agency & guru partnerships.
    • define the most important three or four marketing metrics (see #3 below), establish the current baseline of these metrics, set goals for 2020, monitor progress against these goals each quarter, and take all necessary steps to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded in 2020 and beyond.
    • propose and agree with the CEO a marketing budget for the first 6-12 months.

     Achieve marketing and financial results.

    • Drive an increase in qualified leads from 3/mo to 12/mo at store revenue levels at least $500K/year by September 1, 2020.
    • Oversee quality content production and distribution throughout the year, and oversee paid traffic teams (currently Facebook retargeting and YouTube paid ads, with a potential expansion into Google AdWords and Facebook cold paid ads).
    • Optimize existing partnerships (software partnerships: ​Recart, Klaviyo, SMS Bump; agency partnerships: ​SalesGenomics; guru partnerships: ​Justin Woll, Alex Fedotov). Improve the communication and the cooperation with partner teams with a view to increasing partner referral flow by 100% (from 8 to 16) within four months of hire.
    • Have regular weekly or biweekly content posting and Q&A webinars in three guru Facebook groups within three months of hire.
    • Create two high quality case studies and two high quality client video testimonials per month beginning immediately after hire.
    • Begin posting weekly YouTube videos within three months of hire, achieving 3,000 views by October 1st, 2020.
    • Regularly research, identify and (where appropriate) attend events that are likely to generate new clients for the company. Attend (or have a sales person attend) at least one event every two months, generating at least 30 new clients for the company per year.
    • Update the company website and social media accounts and ensure they are in line with the Hustler brand. Create engaging and effective marketing collateral by September 1, 2020.
    • Complete 90% of current and future scorecard deliverables on time and on budget through 2020 and beyond.

     Be a thought leader, collaborate with colleagues, and be a standard bearer of company culture.

    • Monitor marketing KPIs, draw conclusions and create recommendations based on metrics each week. Regularly discuss progress against KPIs with the CEO, and adjust targets, strategy or approach as necessary.
    • Be a valued thought partner to the CEO through 2020 and beyond. Support the CEO Sales Team in driving revenue growth from new and existing clients by (a) providing colleagues with frequent and thorough information on market conditions, and (b) extracting and analyzing relevant data from the company’s systems, and providing dashboards / flash reporting and recommendations on a weekly basis.
    • Consistently promote a culture where employees and contractors are driven to Radical Ownership, Radical Honesty, Linchpin Mindset, Client = Part of Team, Extreme Accountability.
    • Consistently exhibit a positive attitude and genuine care for the business. Take initiative by going above and beyond the call of duty throughout the year.
    • Respect and engage colleagues in a collegial manner consistently.

    Minimum requirements

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the digital/email marketing space.
    • Self-starter with a performance orientation and commitment to delivering results.
    • Client-centric orientation.
    • Passion for start-ups.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced (or fluent) written and spoken English is required.
    • Ability to work 3-6pm BCN time Monday to Friday (the rest of your hours are entirely flexible).
