    GC Swimming Coach (Part Time)

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A minimum of 3 years coaching experience at Open level
    • A high level of personal swimming or coaching experience in school, university and club environment is preferred.
    • A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage
    • An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate

    The requirements for this position are:

    • Daily training as well as tours and camps
    • Coaching and management of a swimming team
    • Working with other swimming coaches
    • Individual and holistic development of students as social and high-level athletes

    GP Deputy Head - Academics and Curriculum Innovation

    Description

    • The Girls’ Preparatory invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from 1 May 2025. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.

    Requirements

    The requirements for this position are:

    • A suitable professional qualification, preferably post-graduate, and appropriate educational and teaching experience, particularly in girls’ education
    • The ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders
    • A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education; a willingness to teach
    • An understanding of budget management and financial planning
    • A high level of organisational, managerial, administrative and communication skills
    • Previous experience in a leadership position within an ISASA school would be advantageous
    • A willingness to participate in the broader extra mural programme of the school
    • Proof of registration with SACE
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
    • A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well to participate in the broader life of the school

    GP Receptionist and Office Administrator

    Description

    Requirements

    The requirements for this position are:

    • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in reception, switchboard, organising functions and events, financial administration, and calendar management.
    • Experience working within the education sector is preferable.
    • Good administrator with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure.
    • Excellent computer literacy skills.
    • First Aid knowledge and certification is advantageous to assist and attend to children
    • Must be a pro-active team player with strong communication and inter-personal skills and provide a mindful yet professional service with all stakeholders
    • Available to assist with adhoc requests which impact on the effective functioning of the school. These requests may require work after office hours.
    • Proof of sexual offender’s clearance certificate. Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
    • A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as participation in the broader life of the school
