• Join a team that manages their MS SQL Server instances (on prem and Azure)
• Work with Dev teams to design and implement DB Schema changes
• Manage DB security and implement latest SP updates / patches
• Automate DB Backup / Restore / DRM functions as much as possible
• Manage data integrity, security, availability with scripts etc.
• Optimize DB performance to prevent long running Queries

Skills Required:

• At least 4-5 yrs pure SQL DBA exp. (not as part of a Dev position)
• With SQL DBA Consulting exp. (rather than working in-house)
• Azure SQL exp. and HA (High Availability) SQL cluster exp. is ideal
• MS cert’s and an IT degree will be advantageous (not required)

Responsibilities:

• To join a team that manages their Oracle DB servers
• Ensure the performance / availability of their DB’s meet their data management needs
• Use analytical methods to find issues like long-running queries and tune accordingly
• Automate routines like backups and restoring, as well as ensuring Database Security
• Support Dev teams with their design and implementation of DB schema’s
• This is a very Senior level role, not a Systems Admin type Oracle DB role

Skills required:

• At least 7 to 10+ yrs Oracle DBA exp. is required
• Preferably from a Solutions Consulting background (not in-house staff)
• Oracle Cert. Professional (OCP) or related DBA certs will be useful (not required)

A client in Gauteng is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer as follows:

• Work with Dev teams to design and manage their code workflows (in Ops)
• Use Agile methods to architect and implement DevOps pipelines on AWS
• Monitor SourceCode Repo’s and use API’s, DB’s and Containerization to build DevOps flows

Skills Required:

• 4-5 yrs exp. building DevOps pipelines using Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools on AWS (PaaS / IaaS)
• Managing Databases like SQL / PostgreSQL in the Cloud (or similar exp. is required)
• Monitoring Apps / DB’s using Grafana / Terraform / Heartbeat (or similar exp. is required)
• SourceCode Repo on GitHub, for triggering code actions (or similar exp. is required)
• Agile methodologies using JIRA and Confluence tools (required exp.)
• Relevant DevOps / Sys Eng. certs and an IT degree is beneficial (not required)

This is a hybrid work contract, with 1-2 days / week at their offices in Gauteng

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and assist with implementing Concur on SAP to manage their Travel expenses
• Run workshops with Process / Domain Owners, to design their Travel budgeting and claims approval process
• Configure SAP Concur and assist with the Dev / Internal Testing and User Testing / Training of new features
• Assist with Cutover, along with relevant Change Requests to facilitate the rollout of new features / projects
• Own the QA of the final solution, with solid exp. in Integration Testing and UAT of the solution within SAP HANA

Skills Required:

• At least 4 to 5 yrs relevant exp. in SAP is required, incl. one full cycle SAP Concur implementation
• SAP FI/CO exp. or related cost management exp. will also be useful
• SAP S4 HANA and SAP Analytics exp. is also beneficial (not required)
• Must be an SME in Procurement Claims, specifically for Travel purposes
• Excellent QA / Testing capabilities using modern Agile methods with Test tools
• From a Solutions Consulting background (i.e. across multiple clients, not in-house)
• A Comp. Science / Engineering or similar degree is ideal
