ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As an Operator Construction, you will be responsible to safely inspect, wash and prepare faces for drilling.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•  Demonstrate a basic understanding of the causes of Falls of Ground (FOG);
•  Demonstrate knowledge of Symbolic signs;
•  Demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment concepts and processes;
•  Demonstrate an understanding of the identification of and dealing with rock strata conditions;
•  Demonstrate a basic understanding of the concept of a Ground Control District;
•  Demonstrate understanding of the importance of safe and correct barring.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Mining underground environment.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 or Grade 10 (Internal employees only).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As a Miner, you will be responsible to mine and extract ore according to Mining legislation and regulations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•  Taking charge of the underground blasting operations within the designated area;
•  Ensure the delivery of quality product to the plant;
•  Achieve the daily production targets;
•  Be familiar with the Production process activities, trends and brief operators accordingly at the start of each shift;
•  Collect explosives and accessories, lock up and transport to the face;
•  Transport explosives and accessories by means of a Self-Propelled mobile machine;
•  Handle explosives in the mining environment;
•  Lock up extra or unused explosives and accessories;
•  Monitor and control Blasting accessories stock levels;
•  Organize and control general road maintenance activities.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•  Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hard rock mining environment;
•  Knowledge of SAP and MS Office will be an added advantage.

Qualifications for this role are:

•  Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics (external candidates) / Grade 10 (Internal candidates);
•  Underground blasting certificate for Metalliferous Mines is essential;
•  Underground bord and pillar mining (mechanized Mining) experience is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a Supervisor Potline Reduction, you will be responsible for the supervision and the execution of production and logistics activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel and lead in line with the schedule, standards and performance targets for People, HSECQ, Volume & Cost.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans;
• Supervise and lead the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established performance targets;
• Ensure Production employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work;
• Provide input into production or logistics strategies, budgets, and plans as well as the improvement of work management processes and critical controls for material risks;
• Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operational area to ensure delivery against plans;
• Provide support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives;
• Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Production/ Industrial area of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity in production field;
• Be prepared to work shifts if needed;
• Perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;
• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study or a  T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study;
• Valid Trade Test would be advantageous.
