Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Be literate and functionally numerate
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment
• Pre-employment medical required
• Must have a valid Operator’s certificate
• Basic mechanical background would be advantageous
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Operating the TMM (Dumper) and carrying out all related tasks
• Reporting general mechanical elementary problems
• Operate TMM (Dumper) in a respectful safe manner in line with training received
• Be safety conscious
• Able to work as part of a team
• Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on standard allocated job
• Keep the machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing the daily pre-start checklist correctly
• Assist with the housekeeping around the production area
• Be able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays)
• Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BCom Accounting Degree/Equivalent
• Working towards CIMA qualification will be preferred
• A minimum of 5 years accounting experience with focus on cost accounting
• Experience working with Accpac (Desirable)
• Experience on procurement background will be advantageous
• Computer Literate - MS Office with advanced Excel experience MANDATORY
• Must be Fluent in English (Preferred)
• Clear criminal record
• Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred)
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan, organize and control priorities with good administrative skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and costings

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Diesel reconciliations and monitoring usage
• Raw material and final product report analysis
• Perform reconciliations of production figures and analyze anomalies
• Assist with Production reporting and forecasting
• Assist with stock control
• Inventory reconciliation and variance report analysis
• Solve situational problems
• Compile relevant management reports
• Knowledge of BEE rating and Scorecard
• Continuously monitor and improve internal controls, systems, and procedures
• Maintaining fixed assets register
• Provide support to operational management team when and where required by creating operational reports
• Compile costing reports for production costs and monitor and analyse daily
• Interpretation of production costs and assist with cost saving initiatives
• Assist and support HOD’s with cost saving initiatives
• Perform specialized procurement functions as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work in a quarrying and construction site environment
• A driver’s license & own vehicle will be an advantage
• Must reside in Cape Town

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Assist with aspects of planned site maintenance to ensure the equipment operates efficiently and safely
• Assist with Risk Analysis and COP compilation
• Participate in Process improvement projects
• Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives
• Ensure safe working practices

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification: Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant studies is essential (Honours Degree Advantageous)
• Driver’s license: Yes – Valid driver’s License (Own vehicle preferred)
