    Senior Risk Quotation Specialist - Cape Town

    Overall purpose of the role

    The purpose of this role is to provide our clients with Group Risk quotations for new business and to provide quotations for benefit amendments for existing Group Risk clients.  The purpose of the role is also to be responsible for the growth and coaching of junior team members on a daily basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Calculation and evaluation of Group Risk rates for prospective new business and existing business with regard to Group Risk products.
    • Analyze and investigate relevant information in order to perform accurate rating calculations.
    • In depth analysis and calculation of claims experience.
    • Evaluate the risk and apply sound judgement to set the final rates, Medical free cover limit and the relevant terms and conditions.
    • Compilation of Risk Quotation presentations to clients on new and existing benefit amendment quotations.
    • Respond to problems and high-level enquiries with regard to quotations, terms and conditions, and risk products.
    • Checking quality of all completed work.
    • Provide quality service to clients/intermediaries – a passion for service excellence.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support team with difficult queries and complex quotation calculations.
    • Coaching team members so that they can perform to their full potential.
    • Facilitate continuous improvement to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Create a positive work environment.
    • Perform in accordance with the company’s core competency expectations.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Matric with Mathematics (minimum C symbol with regards to Mathematics – not Mathematics literacy)
    • A Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Group Risk environment with experience in a Group Risk pricing division such as a Group Risk Tenders or Group Risk Revisions teams a definite requirement.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Excellent Product knowledge and understanding of the Group Risk Industry and Pricing principles.
    • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

    What will you do?

    Provide secretarial support to the Sales Manager.

    • The ideal individual must have strong administrative skills, strong planning and organisational skills, be detail-orientated, structured, have good communication skills and the ability to multitask in a high performance culture environment.

    Provide secretarial support to the Sales Manager in terms of the following:

    • Office and diary management
    • Mail and information management
    • Travel arrangements
    • Organising and preparation of meetings, functions, presentations, conferences, workshops, satellite broadcasts, video conferences etc.
    • Preparation of documents and the distribution thereof for the above
    • Minute taking

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Secretarial Qualification/Diploma
