    Administrator Human Resources - South32, Hotazel Manganese Mines

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • The purpose of the role is to be the primary contact for employees and Line Leaders by handling customer inquiries and cases related to Payroll, benefits, HR policies, processes and systems.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have a Tertiary qualification in HR / Payroll or business related field (or similar) together with 2 - 3 years minimum relevant professional experience in a similar role with knowledge of HR payroll and employee master data administration;
    • In-depth knowledge in South African payroll statutory and legislative requirements for the position based on Country Service Centre HR South Africa is essential;
    • Understanding/exposure to HR practices, processes, disciplines and systems.
    • Computer literacy in MS Suite is essential;
    • Knowledge and working experience on SuccessFactors and SAP are essential.

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Ensure alignment to internal controls, standards and procedures.
    • Single interface for Line Leaders, employees and contractors to request HR administration support and HR enquires.
    • Answers inquiries by researching, locating, and providing information from Line Leaders and employees relating to HR policies, practices, processes and systems.
    • Resolves problems by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions, implementing solutions, and escalating unresolved problems
    • Provides professional, tactful and discrete communications when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.
    • Maintains and track records relating to employee inquiries via a case management tool.
    • Develop supportive relationships with others in the HR Function and Line Leaders.
    • Demonstrate and promote operational discipline when executing day-to-day activities
    • Ensure all queries and data management requirements are managed on time, accurately and within defined service level definitions
    • Contribute to maintain a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement.
    • Recommend improvement initiatives in existing processes, practices and systems.
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of quick reference guidelines (QRGs).

    Superintendent Projects - South32, Mamatwan Mine

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • The purpose of the role is the leading of a team in the establishment, management and delivery of a portfolio of projects within Mamatwan in accordance with relevant processes, standards, and performance targets for HSE, Cost, Quality and Time.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have Degree / BTECH / National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Process Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a production, process, project or mining related environment of which at least 2 year in a supervisory capacity;
    • 2 years’ experience in managing of projects and business improvement is essential; 
    • Knowledge of SAP, CPS and all Microsoft packages is essential;
    • Open cast mining experience will be advantageous;
    • Experience of an ore preparation Sinter and DMS plants will be advantageous;
    • A valid driver’s license is essential.

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Manages the planning, safe execution, and commissioning of approved Capital Projects according to agreed scope, budget, schedule, and relevant standards and specifications;
    • Manages the handover to the Operation / client and ensure all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status;
    • Leads the development and submission of the 2 and 5 year budget process.
    • Leads the definition, scoping, engineering design and costing, and benefits associated with the proposed projects or changes;
    • Leads the management of the construction and commissioning activities for capital projects and risks relevant to these activities;
    • Leads the reporting requirements for the capital portfolio;
    • Validates the management of the annual capital program at the operation through preparing requests for sustaining capital expenditure.

    Specialist Stakeholder Relations

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • Provide support on all key engagements that may impact the business and proactively influence positive outcomes to ensure the continuation of license to operate including stakeholder support and provide timeous feedback.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Interested contenders for this role will need a Post graduate Degree in Social Sciences or / and Business Management. 4-6 years relevant experience, Mining and regulatory Industry experience(advantageous) South African Transformation Agenda and Context.

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Support in the management and maintenance of relationships with regulators and policy decision makers
    • Support in the management and maintenance of relationships with critical customers – Eskom, DMRE and DPE.
    • Support in the management and maintenance of relationships with government.
    • Support in the management of relationship with consensus groups through the operations.
    • Support in the management of community relationships through the operations.
    • Facilitate the communication of consistent and appropriate messages to the different stakeholder groups.
    • Assist in the compilation, monitoring and auditing of the stakeholder for the operations.
    • Manage the Community Partner and Community Investment clearances for community programmes implemented by the JHB Corporate dept.
    • Prepare, manage and monitor the implementation of the grant agreements with the Community partners
    • Budget Management, tracking and reporting of the implementation of the approved community investment project implemented by the Johannesburg External Affairs dept.
    • Support in the maintenance and updating of the SRM in collaboration with the relevant CA team members in the operations.
    • Review meeting notes for standardization and logging on SRM.
    • Review and assist in facilitating the communication of consistent messaging and appropriate messages to the different stakeholder groups.
    • Track the resolution of stakeholder issues, requirements and needs as well as the register of commitments.
    • Compilation of stakeholder reports and profiling.           
    • Assist with reviewing the proposals for partnerships in collaboration with relevant CA team members.
    • Support  the operations teams with BI processes as needed
