    Cybersecurity Engineer / Specialist

    Job Description:

    • Ability to conduct information security risk assessments
    • Ability to create and execute security monitoring tool sets such as DLP, SIEM and Web Gateway, Cyber Protection.
    • Exposure to cyber security or SOC monitoring.
    • Strong technical ability.

    Responsibilities

    Job Requirements:

    • Focus on Security related to Infrastructure provided by Altron BSI and Telecommunications providers. Work towards enhancing the security of infrastructure systems at our outsourced customer.
    • Reduce and manage and security related risks.
    • Ensure relevant Security measures are implemented and maintained on key systems deployed at our outsourced customer. These include firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless devices, Servers etc.
    • Keep up to date on all security related issues.
    • Use the Cybersecurity Assessment Report as a guideline to address best practices mitigation plan.
    • Produce and present relevant security reports to the customer. Agree actions and timelines.
    • Action all findings (critical events / incidents) from relevant NOC / SOC / Firewall reports. This will include investigating issues identified and working with the team to resolve them.
    • Work with the Altron BSI team and ensure relevant security actions / investigations are executed in conjunction with the team. Security is everyone’s problem and is still the responsibility of every engineer at Altron BSI.
    • Assist our outsourced customer to implement infrastructure related portions of their security policy (provided the technology required is available).
    • Identify and assist with Security related projects and initiatives.
    • Work with our outsourced customer’s auditors on security related audit findings.
    • Document any relevant security related standards and processes to be implemented & maintained across all sites.
    • Identify any security risks and actions required to mitigate them.
    • Conduct internal security audits and regularly review any changes that may affect security. This may require tools or software. Servers, networks etc.
    • Review relevant security LOGS (on an exception basis) and investigate and action relevant ones. (servers, firewalls etc.)
    • Monitor access to our outsourced customer’s network from any 3rd parties and investigate and action any suspicious activity. Examples are VPN access. This may require tools or software.
    • Monitor Data leaving our outsourced customer and identify potential threats. This will require tools or software.
    • Help the KZN Account Management team with Cybersecurity Meetings
    • Represent the Altron BSI Enterprise Security Solutions Division
    • Promote Altron BSI Enterprise Security Solutions offerings throughout KZN
    • Help with Pre-sales / Consulting activities as required by account managers

    Education Required

    • Qualifications Requirements Relevant Information Technology Qualification

    Experience Required

    • A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience
    • Experience using vulnerability management tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and responding to network/computer intrusions and supporting inquiries.
    • Knowledge of information systems security principles and methods, the requirements for certification and accreditation of systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods.
    • Knowledge of test and assessment methods to evaluate security authentication technologies. Knowledge of standards like PCI, SOC2, ISO 27001.
    • Expansive general IT knowledge.

    • Three (3+) years’ relevant work experience in a manufacturing company or as a security consultant / pre-sales engineer

    Sales Consultant

    Responsibilities: 

    • To ensure that the allocated GP target is met or exceeded on an annual basis within the SI policy and procedures on a continuous basis
    • To liaise with external customers, government institutions, committees, internal customers and service providers to ensure SI experience, compliance to legislation as well as SI policy and procedure
    • To coordinate and solve customer queries and complaints through the SI call-logging procedure and policy as well as the SLA
    • To manage allocated new and existing customer relations according to agreed terms and conditions as well as SI policy and procedure framework within SI brand identity
    • To compile and distribute business communication to internal and external customers in line with SI policy and procedure on a continuous basis
    • To contribute and advise on an annual sales and marketing plan for approval by management as well as the implementation of the approved marketing plan within the allocated industry or area in line with the SI policy and procedure
    • To ensure that the sales policy and procedures are followed with every potential and existing transaction on a continuous basis
    • To evaluate customer account and portfolio on a continuous basis according to SI policy and procedure as well as legislative requirements
    • To update and process new leads on the relevant sales forecasting system on a continuous basis according to the SI policy and procedure
    • To build and achieve the expected target of the quarterly sales forecast and to submit it to the relevant manager in line with SI policy and procedure
    • To ensure that all allocated and agreed development activities are successfully completed in line with SI policy and procedure

    Education Required:

    • Matric – Tertiary Business Degree/Diploma/Course is advantageous

    Experience Required

    • Consulting and negotiating with top management and C-level executives

    Essential Competencies

    • Ability to bring in new business/clients, professional presentation skills, professional proposal writing skills, excellent negotiating skills and a solid understanding of business drivers that influence customer decisions

    Advantageous Competencies

    • Knowledge of and experience in Workforce Management solutions
