Procurement and Production Manager at BOS Brands

This role is responsible for: 
Procurement 

• Order required raw materials and packaging for various production runs at third party manufacturers, ensure quality is well managed and forecasting is communicated to ensure supply needs are met. 
• Negotiate optimal minimum orders to reduce working capital while improving cost control.
• Assist the NPD team in sourcing new suppliers and onboarding them with BOS requirements.
• Production planning 
• Place production orders with third party manufacturers and ensure stock is produced on time and in full.
• Waste agreements managed and enforced, and min order quantities negotiated to ensure optimal working capital management.
• Assist the NPD team in sourcing new production facilities and onboarding them with BOS requirements.
• Forecasting
• Ensure Accurate production forecasting is received from the regions and monthly production forecast is managed in line with target stock holding.
• Liaising with regions regarding finished goods collection and variations to the production plan.
• Budgeting and control 
• Input costs planned, managed and actively improved.
• Prepare and update the costing model by SKU.
• Stock management (raw mats, packaging on hand).
• Identify and deliver operational performance improvements (cost, service, and efficiency).
• Quarterly warehouse physical counts on raw materials and variances reconciled.
• Support the team with the BOM performance, identify variances, eliminate wastage and reduce production costs (e.g. packaging).
• Assist the NPD team with input costs to new products. Ensure new suppliers are on-boarded and the best pricing is sourced.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to reduce production costs (e.g. packaging).
• Stakeholder management
• Internal customer engagement and relations maintained with finance and local logistics teams.
• Weekly & monthly ops meetings, QC meetings.
• NPD Briefs.
• Take the BOS lead on the weekly ops meeting with RFG, take minutes and raise any specific issues.
• Monthly accounts/invoice sign-off.
• Reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Month-end stock counts, post-production reports, quarterly physical warehouse count variances, waste variances, and reconciliation.
• Internal Audit Compliance 
• Assist with relevant organic audits certification (ECOCERT EU/SA & SKAL).

NPD and CPD 

• Work with the NPD & quality manager to liaise with contract packers and suppliers and provide any information specifically related to production capabilities & costing.

Quality 

• Assist the NPD & quality manager where needed to entrench BOS standards and specifications at contract packing sites and assist where needed with any quality issues (including process changes and recalls). 

EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• A Tertiary Education in Finance/Supply Chain/Operations.
• > 5 years’ experience in Finance/Supply Chain/Operations.
• You will be expected to travel to visit BOS offices/staff and meet key customers/suppliers throughout the country and our global operations.
