    Product Manager

    Product Manager

    • At 22seven, our goal is to make people better off by improving their financial behaviour. As product manager of the app, your role will be to develop the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the 22seven iOS, Android, and Web. This includes prioritising where the app team (data, product, design, and communications) focuses, managing timelines, and putting together a go to market strategy. In your development of the strategy, you need to make informed decisions through appropriate initiatives, as well as collaboration with the teams at your disposal – ad-hoc decisions based on personal preference are to be avoided.
    • In your day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for leading product work, and working closely with designers, engineers, and communications experts. With an in-depth knowledge of 22seven’s users, product, and brand, you’ll create product strategies consistent with the company’s vision, and translate them into detailed requirements and prototypes. You’ll also prioritize tasks as needed, and come up with creative new ideas to expand our product and improve our customer experience.
    • Communication is key in this role, and you will be required to communicate your vision and progress to the rest of the business.

    Your experience and expertise:

    • Relevant experience managing strategy, operations, and execution in a digital environment.
    • Hypothesis driven: you understand how to generate and test for hypotheses that may solve specific problems
    • Design orientated: creative thinker, with a strong eye for design and detail.
    • Quality obsessed: excellent attention to detail and do not compromise on quality.
    • Data comfortable: comfortable interpreting data, as well as assisting teams of data experts on what analyses could be run.
    • Strategic thinker: understands how to put a strategy together by looking at internal and external factors, developing accurate timelines, and making informed decisions.
    • Very comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communicator – you listen, learn, understand, and communicate back.
    • You can aid the communication between engineers, data, and design.
    • Self-organized, process driven.
    • Strong understanding of consumer psychology.
    • Follows, studies, and appreciates well-crafted mobile and consumer apps.
    • Experience leading small, agile teams.
    • Passion for UX.
    • Self-learning individual who reads constantly and loves to pass on their knowledge to others.
    • Proficient in English.
    • Relevant qualifications e.g. a degree or equivalent experience in economics, finance (or similar), engineering, business, anthropology or psychology.

    Tasks:

    • Collaborate with the team to get a common understanding of the direction, design, and experience of our products.
    • Work with our Head of Customer Engagement, to continuously improve our customer experience and inform our future product development.
    • Work with our data science team, to ensure we are analysing the right things and reacting in the right ways.
    • Work with Product Owner(s) to ensure that the development process is working smoothly, and that high quality standards are maintained.
    • Work with fellow lead team members to make sure processes are working smoothly, and people are doing interesting, meaningful work.

    • At 22seven, our goal is to make people better off by improving their financial behaviour. As Head of Product Design at 22seven you’ll be responsible for the impact that the design team has on our product’s vision and strategy. You’ll be key to driving the strategic direction of the product, and making sure it’s doing its job of helping customers manage their money better.
    • Importantly, your role is to work across the business, you will collaborate with a number of cross-functional partners, including Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Content Strategists, User Researchers, and others to really solve our key challenges using principles of design.

    • Here are some things we are looking for in terms of design skills:

    Product design
    Someone who:

    • Has experience in most or some of the following disciplines of product design: service design, interaction design, research, visual design, prototyping, ux writing and information architecture.
    • Has a proven track record of conducting and implementing user research in a way that benefits the product.
    • Is able to develop creative user research methodologies that overcome traditional research barriers (recruitment costs, sourcing the right demographics, tight deadlines and social distancing).
    • Will be a voice for our users and ensure that we make informed product design decisions for the benefit of our users.
