Minimum Requirements:
Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 qualification or equivalent.
Relevant work experience in Engineering Backfill/Full Plant Tailings, Chemical offloading or Metallurgical plant
Have a minimum of at least 3 years’ experience in Plant Operations.
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Be willing to work shifts and overtime as per Metallurgical Department Agreement.
Be prepared to work at all Plants within Gold Fields South Deep.
Knowledge of International Cyanide Management Institute implementation.
Advantageous:
In possession of TM3 equipment licences (operating on surface).
Be in possession of a code eight (EB) drivers’ licence.
Knowledge of sampling and sample preparation
Knowledge of the Cyanide Management Code (ICMI).
Completed Metallurgical courses.
Be Computer literate
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment.

Day to Day operations/Maintenance and housekeeping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Section Operator or Plant Day shift Supervisor.
Responsible for safety and health in the area of production.
To carry out tasks specific to the area of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements:
Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 qualification or equivalent
Be in possession of a valid Electrical trade certificate
Have 5 years’ experience as an electrician, preferably within an underground mining environment.
Be in possession of a medium voltage certificate.
Be declared medically fit for the position and the environment, as determined by the risk based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupation Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test
Key Competencies:
Experience with the Maxus controller system by Battery Electric will be beneficial.
Be experienced in working with low and medium voltage systems including sub-stations, switchgear, mini sub-stations, gully rigs, distribution boards as well as all relevant safety devices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake planned maintenance on rail bound infrastructure
Repair breakdowns as they occur and assist with new equipment installations.
Promoting and developing team effectiveness within the Mining Engineering section.
Ensure health and safety of self and fellow colleagues by applying safety standards and procedures in all planning and execution of maintenance activities.
Work abnormal times (nightshift/standby)
Work on New Era locomotives, ventilation fans, hydraulic power pack drive motors, induction motors and chairlifts.
Minimum Requirements:

Be in possession of a valid Millwright trade certificate – (Electrical bias)
Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Electrician/Fitter or (Millwright) on Hydraulics / Pneumatic systems and Battery Loco Maintenance in a Logistics Department, as well as electrical reticulation and associated works.

Role Details
Gold Fields – Corporate Office is seeking a Chief Internal Auditor to join their Internal Audit department.
Reporting to the VP Group Head of Internal Audit, you will assist in providing the necessary assurances to the Audit Committee of Gold Fields on Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Control by planning, managing executing and reporting on the various assignments on the Annual Audit Plan. The incumbent will be responsible in ensuring the audit methodology, auditing systems, processes and resources within the Internal Audit Department are in place in terms of the Professional Practices Framework for Internal Auditors and are operating effectively and efficiently. Further, this position would require the incumbent to take cognisance of applicable legislation and best practice principles, with the ultimate goal and aim to assist in managing the daily activities of the Internal Audit Department in a responsible manner.

About you:
Hold a CA(SA) or MBA

Have completed articles with an audit firm and have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in an internal audit department including forensic and IT auditing
Have insight of the Minerals Act and BCEA
Have SAP audit exposure
Have knowledge of commercial, Company, Tax and VAT Legislation
Demonstrate above average knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Legislation
Develop, supervise and manage the performance of sub-ordinates
Be fully proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite
Have the ability to work under pressure and take initiative
Exhibit a meticulous and well-organised work method
Demonstrate well-developed written (including reports) and verbal communication skills in English
Have sound diplomacy, discretion and interpersonal skills
Be energetic and self-motivated, with an enquiring mind
Have advance analytical abilities and pay attention to detail

Be willing and able to work reasonable overtime, over weekends and on public holidays on an ad hoc basis
