Purpose Of The Position

The initial assignment will be the maintenance, support and administration of all Logistics Modules including ERP: Warehouse Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, Plant Maintenance and Materials Management. Sales and Distribution and Direct-store-Delivery modules within the Applications Team. These modules include extensive integration with other non-SAP systems and mobile devices and the role will be expected to incorporate an understanding of and the ability to support these integrations going forward.

Key performance areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis and understanding of existing customised application configuration and development.
• Perform 3rd line user support by diagnosing and resolving application problems
• Perform detailed application maintenance, configuration and documentation.
• Prepare functional specifications for relevant application development requests
• Quality assure application configuration and development.
• Identify and report recurring system problems.
• Assess training needs with Training Manager
• Facilitate end-user training on ad hoc basis
• Perform after-hours stand by

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills but should not be limited to:

• Relevant post-matric qualification
• 3 – 5 Years systems analysis experience in at least 3 modules of SAP ERP WM, PP, MM, QM, PM.
• 1 -2 Years’ experience in SD, DSD.
• Configuration and development specification creation experience in at least 3 of the following modules: SAP WM, PP, MM, QM, PM or the ability to up skill and learn configuration at an accelerated rate.
• Solid understanding of Information Systems and Technology management
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• A passion for people and service excellence
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Goal orientated team player
• Ability to work under pressure
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

Purpose Of The Position

The purpose of the Supply Chain Planner is to ensure that an accurate demand and supply signal exists for all business units that will ensure the best customer service at the most cost effective way.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Effective demand forecasting
  • Effective statistical forecasting
  • Effective demand planning process adherence
• Effective cross-functional networking
• Effective supply planning by:
  • Ensuring stock availability at production plants to meet demand
  • Ensure bottle stock levels remain within required targets
• Maintain stable operational and tactical production plans
• Data analysis and reporting
• Establish networks with segment teams, sales, marketing and production
• Innovation and business improvement in support of operational and segment goal

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
• 2 Years’ experience in a supply chain environment will be highly advantageous
• Sound knowledge of MS Office with specific regard to advanced excel
• SAP BW and SAP APO skills will be advantageous
• Strategic thinking skills
• Good communication skills (both written and verbally)
• Ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines
• Action, self-driven and motivated individual
• Strong numerical aptitude
• Attention to detail and analytical abilities are essential

Purpose of position
To ensure that all export orders are co-ordinated and documentation compiled in a consistent and correct manner to ensure that the export orders are loaded on time and in full and export documents executed timeously to meet customer expectations. Monitor and manage SC’s work load continuously and re-distribute customers/orders where necessary.

Key Performance Areas Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Managing and controlling co-ordination of stock transfers
• Managing application for Export Certificates both internally and WOL
• Managing all extra tests and special documents required for export to certain countries.
• Managing the process flow of loading documents
• Managing the process flow of invoicing and documents to freight forwarder
• Manage and control the Excise documents and process flow.
• Managing the process flow of export documentation
• Managing the Brand control for SA Exporters and the Transfer of Ownership where Distell co-owns a trade mark
• Resolve customer complaints
• Managing people
• Ensure adherence to and update ISO procedures
• Master Data Service / Updates
• Managing the process of Stock Returns
• Manage and control the ICC process

Qualification Required

• A related tertiary qualification
• 3-5 Years’ relevant experience within a similar environment

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

• Written and oral communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Word, -Excel and –Outlook
• Able to navigate on SAP within the Sales and Distribution environment
• Knowledge of Inco terms and documentation required for export shipment
• Knowledge of Export and Import procedures (incl. IMDG knowledge)
• Interpret country specifications and regulations and ensure compliance
• Proven management skills
• Basic knowledge of legislation with regard to Industrial Relations
• An aptitude for administrative duties is essential
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure to ensure compliance to strict timelines
• Demonstrate the Distell Values
