    Operational Manager (Specialty Theatre)

    Requirements :

    • National Senior Certificate, Basic qualifications accredited with the SANC in terms of Government notice R425 (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse.
    • A 1-year post-basic qualification in Perioperative Nursing that is accredited with SANC and basic degree/diploma in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management. Registration Certificate with relevant professional body (SANC) and current registration (Annual Practicing Certificate/Card ).
    • A minimum of 9 years appropriate /recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.

    Registrar (Medical)- Internal Medicine

    Requirements :

    • MBChB degree Registered as an Independent Medical Practitioner with HPCSA. Applicants must have an interest in Internal Medicine. The post is a combined training position between Kalafong Provincial tertiary Hospital and the University of Pretoria.

    • Participate in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the scope of practice, Policies, Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and Regulations pertaining to Nursing Care. Ensure compliance with the Ideal Hospital Realisation Framework and other initiatives in the institution, including provincial priorities. Improve quality care through the reduction of complaints. Coordinate and support the units to comply with the institutional operational plan e.g infection prevention, control, and training.
    • Display emphathy for patients, promoting advocacy and facilitating realistic treatment programmes as well as Occupational Health and safety policies. Manage and supervise effective and efficient utilization of all resources.
    • Ensure compliance with professional, ethical standards, and other legislation. Problem-solving within the limits of the public sector and institutional policy framework. Implement, execute disciplinary code and support grievance procedure as per the Labour Relations Act. Analyse and ensure submission of accurate quality reports timeously to meet deadlines.
    • Ensure compliance on CPD Framework and the ethics of nursing. Monitor and manage effective and efficient training and development of Nurses. Develop and ensure constructive and effective relationships with patients, nursing, and other stakeholders e.g MDT and patients families. Participate in some Hospital committees as delegated.

    Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 (General Unit)

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12/ Matric or equivalent qualification. Basic qualification in terms of Government Notice 425 i.e. Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse. Minimum of seven (7) years of recognised experience in general nursing after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
    • A Diploma in Midwifery, a Diploma/degree in health service management will be an added advantage. Computer literacy. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of legal prescripts that regulate nursing, the nursing care process and SOPs, and health service knowledge. Knowledge of Nursing strategy, Ideal Hospital Realization all relevant Frameworks such as Nursing Act, OHS, Labour Act, and Disciplinary code, Grievance Procedure and all the legislations that will guide management.
    • Skills including leadership/managerial, Planning, Organising Co-ordinating, Communication, Problem-solving, decision-making skills, portraying professionalism and accuracy, & co-operation and accuracy.

    Duties :

    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of nursing legislation, ethical nursing practice, and how this will impact service delivery. Provision of holistic quality patient care and compliance with the Ideal Hospital Framework and the implementation thereof. Participate in the development of SOPs in the institution. Effective and efficient utilization and management of resources.
    • Compliance in CPD implementation and training for professional growth. Participate in committees as delegated and ensure a healthy relationship with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Management and supervision to ensure 24-hour service delivery. Promote patient advocacy. Ability to take charge and make appropriate decisions within the limits of institutional policy and legal framework. Ensure compliance with ethical standards.

    Administrative Officer - Facility Management Unit (FMU)

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12/ Matric or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Facility Management Unit or a Diploma/Degree in Public Management/Administration or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in FMU. Hospital environment experience will be an added advantage. Must be computer-literate.
    • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage. Knowledge of PFMA, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Supply Chain Management Policies/Procedures. The ability to interpret and implement policies, directives and guidelines of the Gauteng Department of Health.
    • Computer skills (Microsoft package). Report writing skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving skills, Client Orientation skills.

    Duties :

    • Conduct Infrastructure Assessments in collaboration with Chief Artisan/Quality Coordinator/IPC Coordinator/Environmental Health Practitioner, Identify and monitor projects on site, Compile and Monitor Implementation of Demand Plan, Identify and send a Service Request to Infrastructure GODH for approval, Organize and record monthly meetings with internal stakeholders as per annual schedule and Organize meetings with service providers for briefing on projects, when necessary.
    • Log and Update Defects on E-Maintenance System, Manage budget of FMU, Do spot checks, Develop and Implement SOP. Compile monthly and weekly reports on updated Parking and Accommodation Registers. Continuous liaison with Chief Artison for Day-to-Day Maintenance, perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.
