    Senior Superintendent Electrical

    The Senior Superintendent Electrical will: 

    • Ensure electricity supply to customers at all times. 
    • Identify and isolate sources of interference with electricity supply. 
    • Ensure load distribution in system is correct at all times. 
    • Notify all customers when Eskom declare power emergency. 
    • Schedule planned maintenance – liaise with customers to ensure production is not affected. 
    • Ensure maintenance of electrical infrastructure is in accordance with maintenance program in order to limit breakdowns and shuts. 
    • Ensure inspections of new installations are carried out in accordance with SABS Code of practice. 
    • Verify compliance certificate for all electrical installations before installation is connected to the supply. 
    • Ensure equipment maintenance is in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. 
    • Monitor adherence to substation maintenance program. 
    • Ensure sub – ordinates are aware of and are using all appropriate safety equipment. 
    • Monitor and ensure adherence to all safety legislation (OHSA) 
    • Ensure installation of identified approved equipment to make system safe and cost effective. 
    • Receive, investigate and solve accounting problems. 
    • Recommend resolutions to accounting problems to administration / Finance departments. 
    • Compile monthly reports on customer meter readings. 
    • Manage the capturing of meter readings onto debtor database for account purposes. 
    • Compile department’s annual budgets for meeting operational and capital requirements. 
    • Implement and monitor approved budgets on monthly basis. 
    • Compile submissions for capital items and transformer maintenance. 
    • Set key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel and processes within the department. 
    • Define and adjust the role boundaries, workflow process and job designs against established service delivery requirements and statutory regulations. 
    • Prepare and/or approve progress and assessment reports for inclusion into the consolidated skills development plan of the department. 

    The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered: 
    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in Electrical engineering (Heavy current) (MinimumN6/T3 or S4) 
    • Wireman’s Licence (Certified required) 
    • MW – HV Switching course (A valid certificate is required) 

    Experience:

    • 5 years managerial experience. 
    • 5 years supervisory role experience. 
    • Maintenance and switching experience up to 132KV

    Organisational Strategy Performance Efficiency Executive

    The Executive: Organisational Strategy, Performance & Efficiency will: 

    • Lead the development and manage the implementation of appropriate policies, business processes and standard operating procedures for the business unit. 
    • Report on the Business unit strategic and operational plans at executive meetings on a quarterly basis. 
    • Ensure that there is full compliance by the business unit with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. 
    • Guide Executive management and the IDFC board in the development of IDFC strategy. 
    • Manage the development of corporate plans by playing a lead role in all the planning activities performed by IDFC in establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into actionable and tangible plans. 
    • Draft and develop the strategic planning framework to implement across IDFC. 
    • Guide in the consultation with the executive team management and implementation of projects. 
    • Lead research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, etc.
    • Enhance IDFC visibility on various platforms. 
    • Ensure the budget processes are aligned to strategic planning processes and performance outputs. 
    • People Management. 
    • Lead the implementation of service delivery improvement programmes and business systems enhancement. 
    • Compile the annual performance plan and annual report and 5-year strategic plan. 
    • Implementation of Projects. 

    The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered: 
    Qualifications:

    • Post graduate degree in business or related field. 
    • MBA is advantageous. 

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 10 – 15 years management experience within business administration, management consulting or strategic planning, of which 8 years should be at senior management/strategic level.

    Office Manager

    The Office Manager will: 

    • Implement appropriate policies, business processes and standard operating procedures for the Office of the GCE. 
    • Complete critical aspects of deliverables including business projects, and other tasks that facilitate the GCE’s ability to effectively lead the company. 
    • Prepare presentations and reports for GCE for EXCO and Board meetings. 
    • Implement internal controls, governance and risk management of all business processes within the Office of the GCE. 
    • Check submissions to GCE for accuracy and completeness and where necessary if the submissions are legally correct. 
    • Ensure that there is full compliance by the Office of the GCE with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. 
    • Collaborate with the GCE’s PA, facilitate cross- divisional coordination of travel and roadshows planning when required.

    • Ensure capital expenditure and operational expenditure spend is in line with the fiscal budget for the Office of the GCE. 
    • Direct and control the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel and processes for direct subordinates. 

    The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered: 
    Qualifications:

    • A degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent qualification at an NQF level 7 
    • A post graduate degree will serve as an advantage. 

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 5 - 8 years’ management experience within business administration and office management environments, of which 3 years should be at a middle management/strategic level.

    Manager Programme Delivery

    The Manager: Program Delivery will: 

    • Develop strategy for Programme Delivery for review by Divisional Manager and Executives and approval by EXCO. 
    • Develop Program Delivery plan. 
    • Ensure all Project/Program onboarding documentation/contracts are attended to, e.g grant funding agreements, implementation plans. 
    • Draft terms of reference for appointment of service providers/contractors through SCM process. 
    • Ensure projects are funded and manage project budgets. Communicate any budget shortfalls timeously with relevant stakeholders. 
    • Monitor the implementation and compliance of health and safety regulations on site and all times (for construction related projects) 
    • Represent IDFC at relevant Project Steering Committees. 
    • Attend stakeholder meetings and present reports to stakeholders/project principals when required. 
    • Form part of team to develop MOUs for partnerships with stakeholders, as and when required. 
    • Ensure community participation is implemented on projects. 
    • Provide input into budget preparation annually.

    • Avoid irregular and fruitless and wasteful expenditure. 
    • Direct and control the key Performance indicators and outcomes of direct subordinates.
    • Conduct appraisals to measure performance against agreed objectives, counselling and consulting with personnel on developmental goals, career paths and short-term targets and standards in respect of subordinates. 
    • Identify training needs and prepare training plans for subordinates. 

    The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered: 
    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree/diploma in project management. 
    • Post graduate degree in Business Administration/Project Management would serve as an advantage. 

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience project management.

    Properties Executive

    The Executive: Properties will:

    • Coordinate, control and report on budget inputs and variances during meetings as per stipulated deadlines. 
    • Monitor capital expenditure spend in line with fiscal budget. 
    • Determine staffing levels and prepare motivations for the filling of vacancies to complement functional objectives and requirements. 
    • Monitor the adequacy of current training interventions through the evaluation of competencies demonstrated in the workplace applicants. 
    • People Management. 

    The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered: 
    Qualifications:

    • Post graduate master’s qualification in Business Management /Finance/Properties Development  

    Experience:

    • 10 Years’ property management related experience of which 8 years should be at senior management level.

    Business Finance Executive

    • Advise and monitor the implementation of suitable interventions to support distressed businesses.

    Experience:

    • 8 – 10 Years’ experience in a financial institution (banking, developing finance and economic development) of which 5 – 7 years should be at a senior management level.
