Job Description

• Management of diaries by setting up meetings, checking conflicting meeting and communicating with all stakeholders
• Take meeting minutes or record meetings as needed, type minutes and distribute to the Executive and ultimately distribution list within appropriate time frame
• Offer office support to the division by networking and liaising with facilities management ensuring a timely turn- around time
• Manage office budget by applying cost effectiveness principles in everyday operations
• Event coordination and management of special projects
• Create and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders on all levels
• Make all travel arrangements, visas, hotel bookings, car rentals and foreign exchange arrangements
• Manage complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas
• Collating and preparation of information for Board reports
• Preparation of presentations and reviewing of speeches
• Develop and maintain an efficient communication and document management process

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant diploma or certificate

Job Description

• Develop a PSM in support of AECI Group Strategy and risk based approach supported by systems, standards, policies and procedure to ensure effective management of AECI IC process safety risks.
• Develop a comprehensive process safety risk profile including an assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and additional mitigation where required in support of risk management.
• Co-ordinate reporting of process safety related KPI’s (both leading and lagging) for AECI IC as well as the assurance of the effectiveness of the PSM system enabling relevant auditing and compliance processes.
• Establish a PSM culture within AECI IC through the influence and enabling of leadership and creation of leadership and creation of applicable reporting/tracking mechanisms.
• Provide advice, guidance and coaching to the SHE practitioners and Operations on effective Process Safety Management.
• Undertake specialist audits or inspections aimed at managing and reducing PS risk.
• Conduct incident investigations in support of root cause analysis, strengthening of the system, prevention of re-occurrences and institutionalisation of learnings.
• Assess and improve the maturity of process safety practices in support of a resilient operating facility
• To implement a process of continuous improvement through the identification of PS gaps/weaknesses.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree –Chemical Engineering (B Eng/BSc/ B Tech) or Equivalent Safety/Risk Management (NQF Level 7)
• Recognized Qualification in Process Management (Fundamentals of PSM – IChemE)
• ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) registration as appropriate (with required CPD - advantage)
• Technical safety risk assessments (PHA, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA etc.)
• Incident Investigation including RCA facilitation
• Process safety concepts
• In-house procedure development
• Operation Management Knowledge (Process-Inputs-Manufacturing –Outputs)
• 3 years Process Safety Management within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Process Safety Management systems within the operations environment
• Technical Engineering background (plant improvement projects, design projects etc.)
• Practical understanding of Chemicals and Operations Management
• Responsible Care Process Safety (advantage)

• Costing systems management and enhancement
• Review of standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
• Perform standard costing runs
• Control and report material cost deviations
• Track and maintain standard cost compared to actual cost
• Prepare budget and forecasts standard costings
• Prepare budgeting and forecast costing reports
• Complete month-end and year-end controlling closing
• Performing cost variance analyses
• Report Stock unit cost on monthly basis to assist Sales Dept. with customer pricing
• Ensure compliance with SLA criteria (specific to area of responsibility)
• Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in management and cost accounting, CIMA or equivalent
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in product costing
• Sound knowledge of an ERP system, preferably SAP
