    Junior IR Officer

    Job Advert Summary

As a Junior IR Officer, you’ll play a key role in building strong workplace relationships and supporting full compliance with labour legislation. You’ll gain hands-on exposure by assisting in CCMA matters, supporting negotiations, and helping resolve real workplace challenges.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or Industrial Psychology.
    • At least 2-3 years’ experience in industrial relations and managing CCMA cases.
    • Proven knowledge of the Labour Relations Act and related employment legislation.
    • Experience in conducting disciplinary hearings and investigations.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential matters with discretion.
    • CCMA accreditation or certification is highly desirable.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Manage and handle disciplinary hearings and grievance procedures according to company policies and labor legislation.
    • Represent the company at CCMA hearings and other labor-related forums.
    • Provide guidance and support to management on industrial relations issues, including disciplinary measures and conflict resolution.
    • Draft disciplinary charges, warnings, and settlement agreements.
    • Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations matters.
    • Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and other relevant legislation.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor law amendments and case law.
    • Facilitate training sessions on IR and compliance matters for management and staff.
    • Liaise with unions, employee representatives, and external legal advisors as required.
    • Prepare reports and maintain accurate IR records

    Inbound Manager - Cape Town

    Job Advert Summary    

    • We are currently seeking an Inbound Manager to join our dynamic team at Boxer Superstores' Distribution Center in East London. The primary purpose of this role is to efficiently control the receiving area and manage the flow of stock within the warehouse.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant Supply Chain Degree
    • 3 years relevant experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of Bomm System
    • WMS knowledge
    • Retail and warehouse experience
    • Management skills and experience
    • Problem solving ability

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Receiving:

    • Ensure accurate delivery scheduling and adherence to documented procedures during stock reception.
    • Conduct spot checks on loads exceeding the value of R200,000.
    • Oversee that incoming stock aligns with the warehouse requirements.

    Replenishment:

    • Manage staff allocation and supervise the team effectively under the guidance of the supervisor.
    • Ensure compliance with documented procedures and accurate placement of stock in accordance with warehouse standards.
    • Report empty locations, confirm no stock, and address damaged rack reports.

    Inventory Management:

    • Investigate stock quality, reporting findings to the demand planning team and management for cycle counts.
    • Align physical counts to system stocks through adjustments and follow up on stock discrepancies.

    Reverse Logistics:

    • Accept all uplift notes from stores and sign off on stock write-offs.
    • Ensure accurate capture of write-offs on the system.

    Staff Management:

    • Conduct interviews, recruit, and appoint staff.
    • Identify training needs and supervise, monitor, and measure staff performance.

    Chep Pallets:

    • Ensure the return of all palettes to suppliers.
    • Oversee the coordination of Chep palettes according to established procedures.

    Returns Supervisor - Cape Town

    Purpose of the Role:

    • To ensure that all stock returned from stores is received in good condition, processed correctly, and either re-entered into the DC, returned to suppliers, or written off where necessary.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in warehousing/logistics
    • Supervisory experience essential
    • Experience using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
    • Strong administrative and reporting skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Solid understanding of warehouse and logistics operations

    This role is ideal for someone who is:

    • Meticulous and organised
    • Experienced in warehouse operations
    • Able to lead and motivate a team
    • Skilled at managing returns and claims processes
    • Confident using systems and Excel for tracking and reporting

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Key Responsibilities:

    Returns Management

    • Liaise with receiving managers via email/phone to coordinate store returns
    • Ensure proper IBT processes are followed
    • Receive and verify returned stock
    • Charge transporters for damages (where applicable)
    • Process returns to suppliers or write-offs as required

    Receiving Support

    • Handle damaged stock received at the DC
    • Immediately initiate supplier claims (CCV), provide driver and DC with copies
    • Ensure admin processes all necessary claim paperwork

    Write-Offs

    • Manage and document all damaged stock from returns or within the warehouse
    • Remove damaged stock from inventory and place on stock hold
    • Process stock for write-off and manage upliftment with suppliers

    Staff Supervision

    • Oversee returns area and ensure staff follow correct sorting procedures
    • Authorise and instruct on write-offs
    • Provide guidance and support to staff
    • Assist with training of new and current team members
