    Quality Assurance Controller

    Job Advert Summary

    The purpose of the position is to control the adherence of Quality standards and procedures within the plan. The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality HOD. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • 1+ years’ experience in meat processing (newly graduates in food processing)
    • Food Safety training and experience will be an advantage

    Competencies & Skills Required

    • Knowledge of food and safety practices.
    • Self -motivated and ability to work independently.
    • Adequate comprehension of applicable statutory standards applicable to the workplace, environment, and employees.
    • Detail orientated.
    • Effective communications skills.
    • Deadline driven.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Maintain the Quality Control Program
    • Carry out duties as described in duty sheets
    • Carry out instructions given to Management regarding quality and hygiene.
    • Responsible for performing and recording relevant start up requirements
    • Record rejects from metal detector
    • Verification of the non-conformance rejects from the metal detector
    • Verification for the detection of metal
    • Conducting critical checks
    • Conducting daily KPIs and Pick-ups
    • Measuring batter viscosity
    • Responsible to ensure the product rejection is communicated to QA HOD and recorded on KPI and corrective action.
    • Responsible for measuring the %TPM of oil
    • Ensuring Quality Assurance compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
    • Ensuring compliance with national standards and legislation
    • Maintaining quality controls and documentation procedures
    • Ensuring tests are carried out, results evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
    • Ensure you adhere strictly to the Daily Hygiene check list and that clothing is always clean and neat
    • Ensure that clean equipment is used inside the factory always.
    • Ensure washing, rinsing and sterilize of equipment is happening as per procedure
    • Ensure that product is stored at the correct temperatures
    • Follow all policies and procedures relating to Food Safety as adopted by the Company

    General Worker

    Job Advert Summary

    The purpose of these positions is to provide general support within the plant throughout the processing of food products.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • 1-2 years working experience
    • Good health - working in a cold environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.
    • Regularly clean and disinfect work areas, equipment, and common spaces.
    • Dispose of waste and maintain a tidy and organized production environment.
    • Inspect and package further processed food products with precision and attention to detail.
    • Monitor packaging materials and replenish as needed.
    • Follow GMP standards to ensure the highest quality and safety of our products.
    • Conduct routine checks to confirm compliance with hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
    • Report any deviations or issues promptly to the supervisor.
    • Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
    • Perform errands or tasks outside the plant premises as required.
    • Support the team in various capacities to meet operational needs.
