    Project Coordinator X 2 - Jozini &Mtubatuba

    YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    Project Co-ordination

    Responsible for project co-ordination  through:

    • Monitoring team performance
    • Supervision and supporting of project teams assigned to the project.
    • Support the teams to reach their recruitment targets
    • Ensure that the daily program activities are co-ordinated for COVID19 vaccinations, door to door campaigns or community engagement
    • Ensuring proper completion, documentation and reporting of the project work
    • Assist and support the teams in planning for the weekly activities
    • Responsible for the quality control of the project deliverables
    • Assist in the project tools’ development and data monitoring on EpiCollect
    • Ensuring that the project targets are met within expected timelines
    • Ensuring compliance of the project teams to the project SOPs and guidelines
    • Ensuring that sufficient stock levels for the project supplies is maintained
    • Assisting the teams to procure the necessary equipment and supplies and to maintain adequate storage for the program equipment and supplies

    Project management

    • Tracking and monitoring all the activities within the program.
    • Assist in designing tracking databases, collating and analysing tracking data.
    • Reporting on the program deliverables.

    Produce reports/graphs showing key performance indicators within the project such as:

    • Program preparation
    • Program deliverables
    • Quality reports tracking
    • Identify potential problems and challenges within a project and suggesting corrective action
    • Maintain contracts and communication with the sub-contracting companies
    • You will be required to work flexi-time

    General Administrative

    • Maintain files for the program
    • Compiling and submission of daily, weekly and monthly statistics
    • Complete weekly status reports
    • Adhere to data collection and recordkeeping
    • Proper recordkeeping of stock received and distribution
    • Preparing files for quality control
    • Preparing the venues, equipment and other resources  for training and meetings

     Liaise with External and Internal Customers

    • Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers and Suppliers when necessary towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
    • Conduct meetings with the program teams
    • Coordinating communication within the program and liaising between head office and the program implementation sites
    • Where applicable, address concerns with the relevant health services staff
    • Engage the communities with the assistance of the teams and other stakeholders
    • Promote Health Education  in the community

    Human Capital Supervision

    Ensure supervision of program teams through:

    • Direct supervision of program tasks
    • Performance management of individual program team members
    • Facilitate training of the program teams as required
    • Identify and address staff issues between the program teams
    • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation
    • Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/ Human Resources
    • Adhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the position
    • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
    • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
    • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of the program vehicle/s

    Requirements

    YOU MUST HAVE:

    Qualification / Professional Membership

    • Bachelor’s Degree / diploma in Nursing, Social Sciences or Public health.
    • Advantage: Diploma in Primary Health Care
    • Certificate in project management is an advantage
    • Certification in COVID19/EVDS is an advantage

    Work Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional nurse or equivalent experience
    • At least 2 years’ experience working in community
    • At least 2 years’ experience in management of health programs
    • Experience in working in the TB and HIV programs will be an advantage

     Other requirements

    • Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics etc.

    Work Description

    The Project Administrator is responsible for the administrative role for the project, ensuring smooth running of the project from an administrative perspective. Ensure proper and sufficient stock for the running of the project.

    Research Assistant-North West

    Description

    As part of addressing existing barriers associated with current TB diagnostics in South Africa, we will conduct a study (DriveDx4TB) to assess end-user insights towards alternative sample types and point-of-care (POC) diagnostics for TB testing among the general population, healthcare personnel and decision-takers in health. The study will be implemented at health facilities in Bojanala district, North West and Ekurhuleni district, Gauteng. 

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    Your primary role will be to participate in:

    Participant recruitment and enrolment

    •  Recruiting potential participants for the study
    •  Ensuring that potential participants are provided with all the study details as described in the Participant Information Sheet.
    •  Administering written informed consent
    •  Recruiting and scheduling appointments for study participants
    •  Assisting research manager to plan recruitment schedules
    •  Conducting enrolment activities 

    Research related activities

    •  Being responsible for the proper documentation of all study activities
    •  Administer data collection instruments as required.
    •  Collect data using electronic data monitoring devices
    •  Review patient files
    •  Conduct and transcribe cognitive interviews
    •  Perform quality checks on collected data.
    •  Data query resolution
    •  Complete any other activities as required by the protocol or the study.
    •  Complete, compile and submit study case report forms (CRFs) and source documents timeously
    •  Ensure all records on participants are completed and accurately filed with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures
    •  Maintain accurate study logs related to enrolment and other study activities.

    Participant retention

    You will also be required to retain participants by:

    • Obtaining, verifying, and updating detailed locator data from participant for all visits.
    • If possible, reminding participants about their appointments just prior to each visit
    • Following-up on participants to ensure study completion 
    • Recommending retetion strategies to study management

    You will be required to:
