Requirements:

• The incumbent must have a Matric/Grade 12 Certificate; Computer literacy; A 4 year Degree or Diploma in Library and Information Studies, Coupled with 2-3 years practical experience in a public library, Code B Drivers License, Ability to maintain accurate reports and records.

Job Purpose:

• Coordinates and executes the key performance areas and specific outputs associated with the Parks and Community Amenities Section through the provision of a Library and Information Service by interacting, supporting, and educating users on the library system, maintaining library material and attending to specific sequences aimed at creating reader awareness to specific activities, events and new additions to the library book-stock in order to ensure a quality standard of service is made available that satisfies knowledge and information needs and positively contributes to developmental efforts of learners and adults within the local community

Requirements:

• The incumbent must have National Diploma in Information Technology obtained from a recognized tertiary institution. CompTIA Accredited A+, Certificate N+ or CCNA Certification will be an added advantage.
• 1 to 2 years' experience in IT. Ability to communicate in both lsiZulu and English languages. Code B Drivers License.

Job purpose:

• Implements Information Technology support at the Library associated with the provision of End User support and analyses, diagnoses and resolves software/ hardware related problems; assisting individual library users with basic computer skills; creating e-mails, scanning documents, photocopying etc. and ensuring optimum and uninterrupted functionality of ICT operating systems and applications within the Library.
