    Stores Issuer

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12/Standard 10 Certificate.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 1 year Material handling Exposure in a Mining / Plant Environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Ensure all operations and activities related to Materials handling and stores issuing are processed in a timeous and accurate manner to meet production / operational and service department needs.
    • Daily checking of physical stock. Issuing of materials by receiving correct documentation, issue and update system. Sorting, binning and stacking of materials. Capturing of picking slips into the computer system and filing. Daily stock control and stock-taking. Receiving and issuing of wide range of stock items. Good housekeeping. Raise requisition as necessary to order for items at low stock levels to be ordered.
    • All documents such as binning slips and pick slips are filed (physically and electronically) for stock and non-stock items.
    • Correct procedures are followed when receiving hazardous and non-hazardous material. All material received is stored safely according to set specifications in a designated area. Gas cylinders are binned in the Gas Store according to SHERQ requirements. Hazardous materials like paint and Hydrochloric Acid are unloaded directly at their respective stores during the receiving process. For safety reasons arsenic is binned in the arsenic store on the same day as it is received. Ensuring that TMM and Mining stores are locked at all times. Compliance to key control measures.
    • Ensure good housekeeping of relevant stores area. Ensure good stacking of materials according to procedure.

    Protection Services: Time and Attendance Clerk

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • Certificate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
    • Registered with PSIRA (Grade C).

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 6 months practical Time and Attendance experience.
    • Advantageous: 6 months practical general administrative experience.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • To capture time and attendance data accurately and timeously using electronic system(s) to ensure data availability. To enable line management to manage employees work attendance and make informed decisions. To facilitate the shift clearance procedure.
    • Accurate and timeous capturing of data that needs to be processed, e.g., contractor access and issuing of cards. Reporting of access management records.
    • Perform general administrative duties as required. Ensure availability of relevant forms and documents. Filling and records management and produce documents when requested.

    Protection Service: Administrator

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • Certificate in Clerical or Business Administration
    • Registered with PSIRA (Grade C).
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • Advantageous: Certificate in Online Intelligence Administration.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 1 - 2 years Clerical/Administrative experience in in the Mining environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • To perform Protection services related administration duties such as data capturing, filing and customer service general administration in terms of security contractor legal compliance and administration of security related software and systems.
    • Assist colleagues and team members with a variety of tasks when requested and instructed. Assistance is provided to co-workers and as instructed by supervisor when required. Ensure instructions are understood before commencing with tasks. Ensuring optimal labour availability by coordinating leave planning, labour planning absenteeism, gang transfer and departmental movements. Ensure quality of inputs into Protection Services systems are maintained.
    • Coordinate administration and control documentation toward supporting departmental functions. File documentation and manage the filing archive to readily access and retrieve data as and when required. Ensure effective distribution of information, control and document changes as per request. Schedule meetings, reviews timely and professionally and follow-up regarding actions and progress. Record keeping of vehicle and other access categories.
    • Maintain relationships with both internal and external customers to promote department and overall company image. Assist and support Practitioners and Superintendents as required. Attended employee and related enquiries timely and in accordance with policy and statutory requirements.
    • Ensure timeous and accurate capturing of data on various Protection Services systems. Administration of criminal background, qualifications and company checks on appropriate software platforms. Coordinate administration and control documentation towards supporting departmental functions. File documentation and manage the filling archive to readily access and retrieve data as and when required.
    • Submit Protection Services report timeously.

    TMM Operator Assistant

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • Completion of a relevant, approved training programme.
    • 3 months practical experience as a Drill Rig Operator / LHD Operator / Roofbolter Operator experience in a mining environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Offer the rig/bolter operator assistance to fulfil his/her task in accordance with set operating standards. This includes setting up the machine and suspending the trailing cable of the rig or bolter. Installing a pump in the panel where the rig/bolter is operating. Installing lifter tubes on bottom holes where the rig is drilling. Giving assistance to the bolter operator during bolting operation e.g. additional barring, reporting breakdowns, coiling and uncoiling trailing cable, etc. Fully conversant and licenced to operate TMM.Relieving the bolter/rig/LHD operator in his/her absence.
    • Operate the Roofbolter to achieve production requirements. Operate and control various types of mechanical equipment and machinery; e.g. Atlas, Sandvik, Boart Roofbolters. Continuously observe/monitor component performance against standards to identify any sub performance /non-conformance or deviations, and report to Supervisor.
    • Conduct pre-shift inspection of machines, machine parts, and/or components of the production line to ensure production flow according to standards within prescribed processes and procedures.
    • Follow lock-out procedure when equipment is faulty and at end of the shift, including failure time recorded and location of machine/equipment.
    • Perform minor maintenance on the Roofbolter by greasing the boom and changing consumables. Report all other maintenance issues to the Artisan. Proper operation and care of the machine as per manufacturer’s specifications, and standard operating procedure.

    UV Operator - Burgersfort

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:                                            

    • Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate.
    • Code 08 (EB) Driver’s Licence.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • Completion of a relevant, approved training programme.
    • 1 year practical underground Engineering experience.
    • Advantageous: 6 months practical UV Operator experience.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Operate the machinery allocated to him/her in such a way that material, tools and equipment are supplied safely, within time, without damage to the machinery, and according to approved procedures. Report breakdowns and problems regarding material availability. Take responsibility for all activities under his/her control regarding safety. Ensure all Codes of Practice and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
    • Operate the equipment to achieve pre-determined deadlines/ requirements. Operate and control mechanical equipment and machinery. Continuously observe / monitor component performance against standards to identify any sub performance / non-conformance or deviations, and report to Supervisor.
    • Report breakdowns/ damages timeously to the control room operator.
    • Take care of assigned vehicle. Safe and timeous loading, transporting and off-loading of belt material and parking of vehicle according to Standard Operating Procedure.
    • Assist with removal of old tips and belt structures, and transport to surface workshop, as per schedule.
    • Adhere to Key Control Procedure.

    Electrician

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate with Maths / Maths Literacy.
    • Relevant Trade Test Certificate.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • TMM Licences “A” Dover.
    • Advantageous: N2 Certificate.
    • Advantageous: Certificate of Compliance (CoC).

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 2 – 3 years practical trade specific experience in a heavy industrial/mining/ plant environment.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Ensure maintenance, breakdowns and projects are done on mine assets. To ensure the electrical equipment and associated network under his / her responsibility complies with the mine’s code of practice, standards and procedures.
    • Ensure workshop and working environment is clean at all times. Assist in ensuring the workshop's operational functioning.
    • Schedule and organise work load, spares, tools and resources according to maintenance / breakdown schedule processes and procedures. Obtain permits and safe declarations to work and related permits for work to be performed by complying with the required procedures related to work permits.
    • Execute work against issued work order in a timeous and accurate manner. Complete work orders and return to supervisor for sign-off. Conduct daily inspections, whether scheduled or ad hoc, and record feedback on work order. Conduct planning of job shown on work order to ensure job is executed in shortest space of time
    • Conduct mini risk assessment and lock-out procedure in own area of work and within span of control.
    • Perform asset care activities as required to project/maintenance / breakdown schedule including accurate and timeous feedback and documentation to all relevant stakeholders. Operate and maintain specified equipment/mobile equipment in line with requirements of Code of Practice, policies and procedures. Adhere to manufacturer's (OEM’s) maintenance service requirements.
    • Ensure all equipment and tools are cleaned after use and stored in Storeroom according to labelling. Ensure that personal toolbox is in safe working condition. Ensure all equipment is inspected continuously to repair identified defects in time to prevent breakdowns, damaged equipment, injuries, and production delays and to identify future defects. Plan, order, collect and utilise parts to minimize production delays, due to equipment and machinery failure.
    • Ensure equipment is maintained proactively and serviced on a scheduled basis to ensure equipment availability and reliability. Ensure breakdowns are attended to immediately to restore availability and reported to the Chargehand/Foreman and Control Room. Report and communicate unrepairable equipment to the supervisor.
    • Ensure effective teamwork and good communication by establishing interaction between members.
