    Internal Auditor - Midrand

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive financial audits of various departments and functions within the organization, including but not limited to mining, manufacturing, and logistics.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance procedures, and risk management systems.
    • Identify areas of potential risk, inefficiency, or non-compliance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Perform detailed testing and analysis of financial data, transactions, and processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement audit plans, strategies, and timelines.
    • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken by management.
    • Monitor the implementation of recommended actions and follow up to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in internal auditing.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior auditors, as needed.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
    • Additional certifications such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) would be highly advantageous.
    • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, preferably within the mining, manufacturing, and logistics industries.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial and operational auditing principles, practices, and standards.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in using auditing software, data analysis tools, and MS Office applications.

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience with auditing large-scale mining, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
    • Willingness to travel to different company sites as required.
    • Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP or Oracle.

    Senior Cost Accountant - Midrand

    Responsibilities

    • Full Accounting Function: Take ownership of the full accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions up to trial balance, including general ledger processing and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Cost Tracking and Allocation: Prepare accurate cost tracking and allocation reports on a cost centre basis, enabling comprehensive cost reporting for management.
    • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register(s), ensuring accurate recording, depreciation, and disposal of assets. Implement excellent record-keeping practices for asset repairs and maintenance.

    • Statutory Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and the coordination of the annual year-end audit process.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

    Requirements to succeed in the position

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the yellow machinery industry.
    • Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Studying towards a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, CA(SA), or ACCA.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate financial information.
    • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision, meeting deadlines effectively.
    • Excellent report writing and communication skills to convey financial information clearly and concisely.

    Maintenance Planner - Newcastle / Dundee

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program for all mining equipment:

    • Identify and prioritize maintenance needs based on equipment condition, reliability, and criticality.
    • Create a proactive maintenance plan that includes inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

    2. Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance activities:

    • Plan and allocate resources for inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.

    3. Plan and schedule major maintenance and repair projects:

    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to plan shutdowns, overhauls, and other major maintenance projects.
    • Develop detailed work plans, including resource requirements, timelines, and budget estimates.

    4. Collaborate with other departments:

    • Work closely with operations, procurement, and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
    • Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to production.

    5. Maintain accurate records and analyze maintenance data:

    • Document all maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime, and costs.
    • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

    6. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations:

    • Follow safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations and policies.
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the maintenance team.

    7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager:

    • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and special projects related to equipment maintenance and reliability.

    Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering plus High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance planning or related role in the mining industry.

    Technical Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance practices, and industry regulations.
    • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and blueprints.

    Competencies:

    Environmental Officer - Newcastle / Dundee

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with environmental authorisations and license's on site, in accordance with applicable South African environmental legislation.
    • Track and monitor compliance with environmental requirements and regulations, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions as necessary.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of South African Environmental Legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role as an environmental officer, preferably within the mining industry or related sectors.
