    Senior Web Developer

    The Senior Web Developer will form a vital part of a team of Web Developers who are responsible for creating responsive websites that facilitates a great user experience. The Senior Web Developer will be familiar with advanced programming techniques and design patterns and, in accordance with the Technical Lead, will provide guidance to the other Developers. This candidate will report to the Team Lead.


    Duties include, but not limited to:

    Primary Duties

    •     Designing, maintaining and implementing website coding architecture and new features as required.
    •     Coding for the creation of new and maintenance of existing websites.
    •     Some level of back-end development will be required.
    •     Proposing website solutions as required.
    •     Coding and testing of mailers to best practice standards.
    •     Working with Software Development Team for quality control and coding guidelines.
    •     Follow intellectual property guidelines for the various brands.
    •     Consultation with client to ensure understanding of brief/product requirements.

    Support to Team

    •     Transfer of business and technical knowledge to the greater Team.
    •     Technical guidance and mentoring of Developers.
    • Support to Technical Lead and Software Development Manager
    •     Assist in enforcing Agile and Scrum methodology in the teams.
    •     Assist in code reviews.
    •     Assist in coordinating Pair Programming.
    •     Assist in implementation of best practices, coding standards and relevant methodologies.

    Essential Criteria:

    •     Mminimum of 5 years relevant experience.
    •     Relevant degree/ diploma.
    •     Experience in working with agile Teams and successfully delivering agile based software projects.
    •     Software: ASP.NET, MVC and C# ,JavaScript Frameworks, i.e. Angular, Front-End Frameworks, HTML5, CSS3, SASS / LESS, JQuery/Typescript, Visual Studio, TFS / Git, MongoDB


    Desirable Criteria:

    •     Development experience in Microsoft technologies.
    •     Must be multi-skilled and / or willing to learn and apply new technologies and languages.
    •     Be able to work alongside Backend Development team to integrate application code into websites and or web applications.

    HR Business Partner

    Purpose of the Role:

    • Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is responsible for all human resource activities for specific business units. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
    • Responsible for full range of human resource activities to include talent management, benefits, administration, employee relations and training and development.

    Duties include, but not limited to:

    Recruitment & Selection:

    • Attract and retain best-fit talent
    • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's job fit
    • Prepare and maintain job documentation, and job evaluations
    • Employee Relations & Discipline:
    • Work with management to resolve employee relations and disciplinary issues
    • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries
    • Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested
    • Provide first-line counselling support to individuals in need

    Performance Consulting:

    • Identify, and work with managers to identify performance issues, including root cause
    • Develop and implement performance enhancement initiatives; utilize existing resources effectively (e.g. QA, training, peer-coaching)
    • Follow-up and monitor progress
    • Training & Development:
    • Identify training needs
    • Recommend, develop, schedule and deliver training and development courses
    • Participate in induction programmes

    Organisation Development:

    • Identify OD issues – including team and individual issues e.g. performance, cultural, communication, leadership
    • Monitor and provide feedback on any dysfunctional behaviour or business practices
    • Develop or source appropriate interventions to monitor, improve organisation/team or individual effectiveness

    HR Administration:

    • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation
    • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems
    • Recommend operating policy and procedural improvements
    • Other HR related duties as assigned

     

    Essential Criteria:

     

    •     At least 3 – 5 years HRBP experience in a similar environment
    •     Knowledge of all relevant legislation (LRA, SDA, EEA, BCEA, OHSA)
    •     A relevant formal qualification or equivalent appropriate HR degree
    •     Strong communication skills
