    Performance Manager

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES #LI-DNI

    • Create visibility to Loss Data
    • Lead annual Loss Analysis to support site’s OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures) and budget targets
    • Help prioritize loss reduction projects in collaboration with the site leadership team
    • Provide supporting data analysis and justifications for any technology improvements and capital expenditures and feasibility studies
    • Lead site Focused Improvement pillar

    Lead site Data and Analytics

    • Maintain integrity of site data through training, health checks, and change control. Focus includes scorecards, downtime data base, manual tracking systems and SAP master data.
    • Provide analysis and insights to key performance metrics like Process Reliability, Productivity, Yield and Scrap.
    • Collate and publish site scorecard every month.
    • Create and execute site Analytics strategy.
    • Establish scorecard review processes based on the appropriate frequency and participants.
    • Drive data-based decision-making behavior at all levels

    Implement Effective Training systems

    • Coach site employees and SMEs on the methodology and tools:
    • Basic performance data and trends
    • Problem solving
    • Root cause analysis
    • Loss Reduction projects
    • Participate on Training and Development Pillar
    • Create and maintain site training systems

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is required
    • Minimum of 5 years working in manufacturing operations in FMCG company (preferably in food industry)
    • Background in Total Productive Maintenance / Lean, Change Management and Organizational Effectiveness
    • Experience in a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) preferred
    • Team and Operations Leadership experience preferred
    • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI
    • Familiarity with creating reports using our current (and future) BI tools, e.g. SAP Hana, Tableau
    • Experience analysing complex datasets, generating insights and building robust statistical models (comfortable working with structured and unstructured data)
    • Ability to analyse complex information to make judgments and decisions

    Head of New Business Development

    • The Head of Business Development will spearhead McCormick’s growth strategy in Africa, identifying and securing new business opportunities with B2B clients in the food and beverage sector.
    • This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales, market expansion, and relationship building in dynamic, high-growth environments.
    • In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with the company’s strategic EMEA objectives, delivering measurable revenue growth and market share expansion.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in Africa. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales and share growth targets.
    • Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new customers within food and beverage manufacturers, through prospecting, leveraging existing network and strategic outreach.
    • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and industry influencers to drive customer retention and repeat business.
    • Sales Leadership: Lead the negotiation of high-value contracts, ensuring alignment with company pricing, profitability and service standards.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE:

    • 10+ years selling key ingredients to the health & nutrition product manufacturers and other custom food and beverage manufacturers.
    • South Africa business to business sales experience preferred.
    • Experienced using Salesforce or other similar CRM software.
    • Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of technical aspects of products, i.e. nomenclature, applicability within customer's manufacturing process, substitution choices, new discoveries, etc.
    • Developed and demonstrable critical thinking skills and business acumen.
    • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills that are clear, concise, and appropriate in timing and directed to appropriate levels.
    • Proven project management skills in a sales cycle from six weeks to eighteen months.
    • Manage limited internal resources and prioritize appropriately.

    • Travel is required for customer and business meetings within Africa.

    HR Generalist

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    HR Administration:

    • To manage and administer the payroll system thereby ensuring that salaries are paid timeously and accurately. That all statutory regulations and requirements that influence the payroll are adhered to and payments made to the government are made timeously ( +-150 staff). Liaise with Finance – Reconciliations
    • Appointment & Termination documentation including conducting exit interviews (letters/Unemployment Forms/Certificate of Service /Membership to Medical aid & Provident Fund etc.)
    • Present Human Resources Section of On-Boarding Programme to new staff and co-ordinate the On-Boarding programme for other Departments.
    • Manage the capturing of HR information and data into the relevant systems and assure the integrity of the data.
    • Provide advice and information to the functional leads and employees on HR policies and procedures. Ensuring that management and staff understand company’s policies and procedures and apply them correctly
    • Manage and update business organisational organograms and ensure that all organograms are up to date.
    • Prepare and participate in surveys ensuring that McCormick South Africa remain members of survey groups.
    • Do quarterly STATS reports for the South African Government as per legislation.

    Employee Relations:

    • Provide advice to functional leads on disciplinary cases, grievances and incapacity.
    • Review practices to ensure statutory compliance and regularly provide guidance to functional leads
    • Represent the organisation at CCMA (Conciliation and Arbitration).
    • Chair the monthly meetings with Shop Stewards in the absence of HR Manager.
    • Manage and coordinate employee wellness.

    Recruitment:

    • Ensure that the Recruitment process is adhered to, and jobs are timeously advertised and tracked.
    • Manage and conduct interviews with functional leads and selection test and make recommendations to the HR Manager.
    • Supervise the orientation of new employees.
    • Manage probationary reviews, employee evaluations and terminations.
    • Ensure that the site job descriptions are relevant and up to date.

    Talent Management:

    • Coach functional leads on Performance Management Process and T&O Review process.
    • Coordinate Consistency Reviews and T&O review meetings.
    • Coordinate the performance appraisal documents and consolidate performance ratings.
    • Drive the succession planning for the site.
    • Facilitate employment equity target setting and monitor profile.
    • Ensure that the EE committee meetings takes place quarterly.
    • Drive change management initiatives in line with the business and organisational objectives.

    Training Development:

    • Compile training matrix from Appraisal documents (IDP).
    • Facilitate HR training including adhoc refresher for employees and Functional leads.
    • Drive Development Plans for all employees on site.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • Degree qualification in Human Resources Management.
    • 3 – 5 Years’ experience as HR Generalist in FMCG, multi-national, manufacturing company.
    • Employee and industrial relations experience in effectively handling Employee Relations and CCMA cases
    • In-depth knowledge of employment law & HR practices for South Africa with a solid track record in managing/advising on legal issues
    • Experience of building development and training plans.
    • Ability to handle complexity across multi-cultural and cross functional borders in a matrix organization.
    • Structured, well organized and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
    • Good analytical skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels and cross functionally.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive outlook, even under pressure.
    • Flexible to change and embrace new initiatives.
    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint).

    Production Planner

    • As a Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes by coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless material flow.

    New Product introduction & Discontinuations:

    • Schedule product launches and phase -outs efficiently, mitigating risks of obsolete stock and ensuring smooth transitions.

    Data accuracy & system maintenance:

    • Maintain and validate production-related data in SAP/Excel, including BOMs, routings and capacity parameters, ensuring reliable decision making.

    Efficiency & Continues improvement:

    • Identify bottlenecks and collaborate with operational teams on Continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

    Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:

    • Serve as a key liaison between supply chain, production, procurement, commercial, and customer service to address constraints, optimize workflows, and drive alignment.

    Production plan Adherence & Reporting:

    • Monitor plan execution, track adherence at SKU level.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • Solid experience in a supply chain role working with customers, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Practical experience of production planning in FMCG company (preferably in food industry).
    • Degree in Industrial/Supply Chain/Business/Accounting.
    • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders on all levels in the organization.
    • Excellent presentation skills and ability to proactively contribute to customer presentations.
    • Proven experience in managing and executing CI projects within a dynamic environment.
    • Cross functional team player and able to operate effectively within a matrix structure.
    • Flexible approach & innovative problem solver.
    • Exposure to ERP/SC systems (SAP) and Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel).
