ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This role is a permanent full-time position.
- As an Artisan Fitter, you will be responsible for timely installation, repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure that underground mining activities are executed in a safe manner as well as operate equipment and tests all working parts in functional area to ensure proper utilization.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Maintenance and repairs of plant equipment in the production sections;
- Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
- Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on plants or equipment;
- Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
- Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
- Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
- Coordinates activities associated with trouble-shooting and repairing maintenance equipment.
ABOUT YOU:
- You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining plant equipment such as conveyors, screens, jaw crushers, apron feeder, rock breaker and pumps is essential;
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to read and interpret diagrams is essential;
- Having minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter on plant equipment
- Working experience on SAP/1SAP is advantageous.
Qualifications for this role are:
- Serious contenders will have a N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) / N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates);
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s license is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This role is a fixed term contract position.
- As an Operator Wheel Dozer, you will be responsible to intermittedly level active loading benches where excavators are utilized for loading. Also, to quickly and effectively clear fly rock and spillages from road and loading surfaces.
- Dozing as part of finishing during road and ramp construction will also be applicable from time to time.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Ensure continuous judgement to level loading floor at the correct profile;
- Ensure continuous judgement during road clearing and construction not to cut excessively deep or too much material which could damage the machine;
- Conduct the pre-shift checks prior to operating machine;
- Conduct the applicable Safe Work Instruction for normal routine tasks or Risk Assessment if non-routine tasks are required;
- Report all equipment defects or unsafe conditions to the control room and supervisor;
- Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operation’s standards and operating procedures;
- Execute production or related activities according to the daily mining schedule’
- Follow the daily mining schedule for the machine and meet the daily targets;
- Adhere to general Induction and site specific procedural training;
- Adhere to operator license training and operate only when competent to do so;
- Adhere to operational procedures and standards, applying safe work practices;
- Report any unsafe behavior, conditions and incidents to the responsible person.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Experience in Mining production and exposure in surface mining operations;
- Excavator skills within a Surface mining operation;
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Competency B certificate;
- Demonstrate knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment within a mining workplace;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations 22 & 23.
Qualifications for this role are:
- External Candidates: Grade 12;
- Internal Candidates: Grade 10;
- Equipment license on either CAT dozer D8, D10;
- Code 8 Drivers license.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This role is a permanent full-time position.
- As an Artisan Millwright, you will be responsible to attend to breakdowns and to conduct inspections and execute maintenance tasks on Processing plant, Heavy Mobile Machinery and Loadout station equipment. Will be required to work shifts.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, planned and predictive maintenance;
- Execute all maintenance work in a safe manner;
- Perform lockouts and make the work area safe;
- Test and commission equipment prior to handover;
- Identify and record all subsequent work found during the inspection activities;
- Reporting of events and non-conformances;
- Ensure optimal asset life through application of good maintenance practices.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright;
- In depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of Winders, shafts, compressors, conveyors, Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings screens, crushers, hydraulic systems and pumps is essential;
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings is essential;
- Knowledge of Soft starters, Control and Instrumentation and SAP is advantageous.
Qualifications for this role are:
- N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) and N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates) with a recognized Millwright trade test;
- Valid Code B (08) Driver’s license is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This role is a permanent full-time position.
- As an Operator Excavator, you will be responsible to dig, clean, remove and load Overburden or Manganese from the applicable bench and high wall onto haulers by means of an Excavator, leaving only a safety and catchment berm in place. Side casting may also be required as a secondary activity.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Effective and efficient excavator operations depends on a very specific skill and experience and an excavator operator is a critical skill required in a team to unlock productivity of the fleet;
- Excavators are the Primary loading equipment at Mamatwan and is the critical operation to achieve overburden and ore budget volumes;
- Safe and effective excavator operations determine and unlock productive loading and hauling rates;
- Control the area where loading is taking place. Excavator operator must give permission for any person or equipment to enter the loading area, including the haulers within the applicable cycle;
- Loading of haulers as per instruction and allocation, either Overburden or ROM material;
- Inform the hauler operator regarding the quality of the load and the applicable dumping allocation;
- Inform the hauler operator to dump poor quality Manganese as waste and stockpile good quality Manganese as ore;
- Continuously monitor the high wall for cracks and loose hangings. Safely remove these bad hangings or loose rocks from the high wall. If not possible or high risk, inform the supervisor;
- Remove and clean spoils or materials from the high wall;
- Continuously construct a catchment berm as per standard along the toe of the high wall;
- Continuously construct a safety berm as per standard along the crest of the bench, 3 meters from the edge;
- Ensure continuous judgement of the loading elevation to prevent excessive undulation of the floor and damages to the bucket;
- Ensure continuous compliance to the excavator loading pad construction standard and position of the excavator on top of the loading pad;
- Ensure continuous compliance of the loading sequence of a hauler – number of loads, placement of loads and fill factor of the hauler bowl

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Must have mining production exposure in surface mining operations;
- Excavator skills within a Surface mining operation.
