    Head of Department: Plant Engineering

    Strategy - 1. Plan, develop tactics and oversee the implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities for area2. Drive the implementation, and adherence to annual machine maintenance plan3. Drive the continuous improvement of SAP PM data for improved downtime analysis4. identifies, analyses and implementation of potential technical improvements in co-operation with other department's (Production, Quality, Purchasing)5. Leads, as well as participates, in all plant efficiency improving projects even when outside of responsible area or non-engineering related projects.

    Cost - 1. Develops the area budget in-line with the overall plant Engineering strategy2. Through effective leadership and guidance of direct reports ensure adherence to all budgets, Internal, External, Supplies, Spares, and Area Projects3. Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a tactics to manage expenditure4. Analyse all requests, proposals for engineering related projects to ensure favourable ROI5. Take the area lead in annual RICP process to ensure prioritisation and execution of request.

    Reports - 1. Create clear, precise and dynamic reports to monitor department perfomance2. Maintenance related reports, (Efficiency, Quality, costs and employee engagement)3. Quality related scrap as part of engineering issues.

    Maintenance - 1. Manage team to ensure machine reliability, proactively managing unreliable machines with Area Team Leaders and Area Technicians2. 2.  Effectively delegate to ensure even load of responsibilities throughout entire team.

    People – 1. Apply required disciplinary procedures to comply with company policy and rules.2. Conduct Performance Reviews in line with Company Process and Procedures3. Identify specific training needs of team and implement necessary development measures to meet the needs in line with business requirements.4. Prepare department Succession Planning in line with Company processes, procedures and requirements5. Mentoring, coaching and motivation of team.

    ESH. Legal Compliance - Ensures safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with the companies environmental, safety and health procedures including LOTO as well as occupational health and safety regulations 2. Comply with OSH Act and Regulations3. Issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls.4. Raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.5. Ensure immediate notification and response and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards.6. Demonstrate exemplary personal behaviour in ESH and motivate others.

    • Degree/Diploma: Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
    • 5-8 years’ experience in the tyre and rubber industry
    • Proven ability to manage people and other engineering resources as well as analyze, problem solve and take decisive corrective action
    • Cost management and knowledge of pricing procedures for quoting and tendering
    • Experience in the development and application of pro-active maintenance fundamentals

    Production Data Analyst - Gqeberha

    • Reporting Systems – Development and provision of local reports in accordance with requests from different Manufacturing and Production Departments or from other sources using data available in the analytical and Manufacturing Suite systems and various internal / cloud data sources.  Enhance and Maintain the CTSA Microsoft Power BI Reporting Environment and Integrate into the Global Mustang Reporting platform and cloud environment. Support Reporting Automation & optimization initiatives to enhance productivity with reduced reporting complexity. Training end-users on new reports and dashboards. Collaborate with IT department to implement business requirements into IT Application & database infrastructure. Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing for reporting and analytics. Sharing knowledge, reports or data. Participation in central projects related to data analysis within the scope of process control or product compliance.
    • Data Analytics/ Data Science - Analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, and extract insights to support Manufacturing & Production Environment. Develop predictive models using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms; Pre-process and transform raw data for analysis and modelling; Evaluate and improve model performance through iterative development; Present findings and insights through data visualizations and reports; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business problems; Review analysis results with experts (at local and/or central level). Stay updated with advancements in data analytics, data science and experiment with new techniques; Contribute to the Continental analytical community, actively exchange knowledge, identify new reporting standards, support other Data Analysts and users; Ensure continuous improvement of data analysis tools and required infrastructure in collaboration with Central and Local Manufacturing and IT functions.
    • System Maintenance and Key User - Consolidate local PICRs (fixes and enhancements) , ticket creation, support and coordination for the reporting environment. Monitor data quality across connected source systems and initiate data quality improvement activities. Manage local incidents and report to central functions.
    • Continuous Improvement - Identify and Coordinate effective actions for continuous improvement in the use of integrated data analytics and reporting systems to keep aligned with the production processes; Ensure the implementation and completion of projects or initiatives for continuous improvement of data analytics and reporting systems in plant.
    • Problem Solving - Provide local support to problem-solving initiatives with data analysis; Support and analyse a large amount of data to find the root causes and define improvement measures; Create documentation to ensure lessons learned.
    • Training - Conduct training on Microsoft Power BI and Analysis tools defined by Manufacturing. Train local users in accordance with their respective roles and departmental needs.
    • 3-year Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, IT, Systems, Advanced Data Analytics, Statistic, Mathematics
    • 3 years of experience in Production processes
    • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Systems, Advanced Data Analytics, Data Mining, Statistics
    • Participation in Manufacturing projects
