    Caterpillar Mechanic (CAT / Earth Moving Equipment / Mining) - Southern Africa

    Job Description

    Are you a qualified Caterpillar Heavy Duty Mechanic with experience in the mining industry in Africa?
    This could be the opportunity for you!
    Our client is seeking an experienced individual to join their team in Southern Africa.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Analysing, diagnosing, carrying out and supervising repairs and maintenance of Caterpillar equipment.
    • Ensure optimum availability of machinery.
    • Failure and root cause analysis.
    • Ensure continuous improvement through productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Budgeting and cost control.
    • Ensure health, safety, environmental and legal standards are adhered to.
    • Mentor and train subordinates.

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Trade tested Diesel Mechanic or technical diploma.
    • Caterpillar training essential.
    • CMMS experience.
    • 10 years’ experience in the maintenance of Caterpillar equipment within the mining industry including excavators, trucks, bull dozers and graders.
    • 4 years’ experience in a senior level position.
    • Experience mentoring and training subordinates of diverse cultural backgrounds.
    • Only candidates currently based in an African country will be considered for logistical purposes.

    Contractual information:

    • Limited duration contract.

    Administrative Support (CRM / Microsoft office / Adobe)

    Job Description:

    A large exhibition and conference events organisation is offering a 3 month contract for an Administrative Support position. Applicants will need to have experience with CRM data systems.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • General enquiries and feeding these to sales team.
    • Assist with drawing up and sending visa invitations to conference attendees.
    • Liaison to advise the relevant Embassies globally of the conference taking place.
    • Working with content manager to ensure and check that all confirmed speakers are listed on the online event website, loading and listing of any related resumes and general upload of program.
    • Assistance in processing delegate/sponsor/exhibitor contracts into CRM.
    • Operations Support: Collect sponsor and exhibitor logos, speaker photos and company descriptions as this may be applicable for the event websites as well as for any brochures or marketing material.
    • Pre-event support.
    • Updating CRM database system with research: inputting new and/or updated information on clients, merging duplicate records, updating speaker information and/or registering their profiles, exhibitor and/or sponsor participants.
    • Research of competitor events and updating the spreadsheets for 2017, 2018 and beyond.

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
    • Ability to perform standard arithmetic functions
    • Experience with CRM data systems
    • Ability to take instruction and/or direction from different departments
    • Well-organised
    • Proactive and reliable
    • Strong work ethic

    Job Description:

    Dynamic driven individual that will take ownership of packing of Citrus and Mango’s for local and international markets and also manage processing of industrial fruit. 3 Factories on one site
     
    Responsibilities:

    • HR: Organogram design and implementation; Lead a management team to manage factories and pack houses according to high standards; Oversee implementation of company policies and statutory requirements; Measurement and feedback of management performance; Implement measuring and feedback models in all departments of the production of fruit in area.
    • Production: Oversee that high efficiency is reached with focus on the right quality per customer.
    • Admin and finance: Manage an admin finance team so that all requirements w.r.t budgets, management accounts and admin is done according to expected standards
    • Logistics: Oversee all logistics like sourcing, delivery and Tenders
    • Strategic: Be on the lookout and propose strategic actions for the benefit of the company.
    • Maintenance: Oversee that all maintenance is done according to company standards
    • Profitability: Drive all processes in order to maximize long term profits.

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Degree in Agriculture and or experience in managing larger units of packing or processing will be advantageous.
    • A Degree in Industrial engineering will also be seriously considered.
    • Any form of factory Experience advantageous.

The successful candidate will lead the continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities, evaluating business processes, developing and implementing solutions, training and coaching employees, monitoring processes and providing support on an ongoing basis.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Support and participate in sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimistation
    • Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition
    • Direct Management of portfolio of improvement ideas
    • Ensure templates, tools and processes used for tracking and managing improvement are effectively and efficiently used
    • Provide regular reporting TO THE Continuous Improvement Manager and other site managers where appropriate
    • Drive process improvements
