Graduate Trainees: Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering at Umgeni Water

Job Description

Umgeni water will provide the recently qualified graduates (only those graduates who have never been employed) with experiential training that will result in the development of their technical knowledge leading to their registration as professional engineers with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Position Reference No: NTG 08_2017

Reporting To (Position Title): Graduate Program Co-ordinator

On completion of the training programme trainees will be required to apply the knowledge and skills learned to Municipalities in KwaZulu Natal and OR Tambo District Municipality as identified by Umgeni Water and National Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

During the training, the interns will be expected to successfully demonstrate all proficiency as determined by ECSA for the graduate development programme in their respective disciplines.

Minimum Qualification, Knowledge & Skills

• BSC in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical Engineering.
• An unendorsed code 08/ EB driver’s licence is a compulsory requirement.
