    Learning and Development Support Manager

    Job description

    Job purpose

    Deliver on the Learning & Development (L&D) implementation plan by applying best practice methodologies that contribute to the high standard of training, facilitation, and understanding the needs of the business.

    Key outcomes

    The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the L&D Support Manager:

    • To develop and deliver learning programmes focused on adult learning methods and based on employee/client needs (incl. technical training and soft skills training), business priorities and best practice;
    • To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training by deploying measurement and feedback tools that track outcomes and ensure alignment of objectives as well as to assess and provide feedback to learners;
    • Coordinating and scheduling of training;
    • To provide technical support and expertise through query resolution in support of the business in overall development of employees;
    • Assisting respective internal clients with the implementation of changes to existing products and processes as well as new products
    • To provide support as a team member with regards to learning & development projects and technology;
    • To adhere to organisational best practices and legislative requirements (Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act)
    • To build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders;
    • To maintain a consistent service delivery to ensure client satisfaction;
    • Continuously evaluating and improving internal processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiencies;
    • To provide efficient and effective coaching to team members;
    • Maintain an understanding of the latest training trends, developments and best practices;
    • Manage the Skills Development and Administrative function by collating skills development reports (quarterly and annually) as well as managing the L&D intern and co-ordinator;
    • Manage Internship programme

    Qualifications and experience

    • 3+ year's relevant experience
    • Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences and/or relevant training and development qualification i.e National Certificate in OD ETDP NQF level 5, Assessor and/or Moderator
    • Relevant management qualification would be to your advantage
    • Relevant people management experience would be to your advantage
    • Previous or current L&D experience (inlc but not limited to technical training, soft skills training, organisational development related learning interventions) in a Client Services environment within a Financial Services industry
