    Senior Payroll Supervisor

    Job description

    We have an exciting & challenging role available in the Northern Suburbs for an experienced person who is highly meticulous and enjoys working in a fast-paced and pressurized working environment.

    The person will take responsibility for the administration of company payrolls and supervising/motivation a team.

    Requirements

    Key Performance Areas

    • Accurate, timeous and consistent end to end processing of company payroll.
    • Maintenance of payroll system and leave administration system.
    • Processing and administration of all additional reimbursement and pay related allowances
    • Administration and maintenance of employee benefits in accordance with EB Committee decisions, Fund rules
    • and Company Remuneration Policy.
    • Liaising with staff and management on payroll and employee benefit related queries.
    • Manage and conduct month-end and year-end statutory requirements.
    • Reconciliation and payment of PAYE, UIF and SDL and 3rd party payments
    • SARS annual and bi annual submission
    • Reconciliation of payroll related GL accounts.
    • Accurate and timeous delivery of ad hoc, monthly and annual HR Reports
    • Project Management
    • People Management

    Qualification

    Diploma or Tertiary qualification. (BComm advantage)

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ working experience on a payroll (preferably Sage People) and HR systems.
    • Experience in financial services environment will be advantageous.

    Functional Competencies

    • Software: MS Excel (advanced), MS Word, MS Outlook, Powerpoint
    • Sound knowledge and experience in payroll (Sage People/ESS) processing.
    • Sound knowledge and experience of PAYE and statutory compliance and understanding of employee benefits.
    • Sound knowledge and experience of payroll reconciliation processes.
    • Knowledge of Payroll related Legislation
    • Knowledge of numerous HR systems
    • Knowledge of accounting principals
