Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary engineering project teams on varying appointments within the Industrial sectors which will primarily include the Brewing sector.
• Provide technical and in some instances, management and/or involvement throughout the project life-cycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning.
• Fulfil a lead engineering role on multi-faceted industrial projects, where in instances, this could be performing such tasks whilst being on-site.
• Manage and maintain Client relationships and co-ordinate project execution within scope, time and cost requirements to the Client’s satisfaction.
• Participate in the engineering activities and interdisciplinary interfaces in close cooperation with the other discipline engineers.
• Effectively manage sub-contractors as well as relating positively to site staff.

The ideal Candidate should:

• Have more than 5 years’ experience in the Consulting Engineering/ Brewing sector or other similar industrial sectors e.g. chemical process plants – preferable the candidate has spent a significant amount of time in a factory or consulting environment.
• Hold a suitable engineering qualification (preferable Chemical/Process Engineering).
• Be registered as a Professional Engineer/ Technologist with ECSA (preferable).
• Hold sound knowledge of the brewing process; and associated brewing Utilities/ancillary systems.
• Be able to design and/or implement brewing systems such as malt handling, wort boiling, deaeration plants, Brewhouse, including the CIP for such plants etc.
• Have experience in defining and understanding specific project scope and deliverables, and manage the submission of competitive proposals; and or tenders on behalf of the client.
• Possess a thorough understanding of project engineering workflow and specifically have a strong background in integration of Process plants into Greenfield and Brownfield sites.
• Have a broad understanding of the other design engineering disciplines, i.e. Civil, Mechanical, /Automation and Electrical.
• Operating relevant commercial software as well as developing, maintaining and enhancing any engineering tools or software used in the course of the engineering activities of the company.
• Possess a detailed understanding of engineering activities and project engineering workflows required for consulting, engineering services, and EPCM contracts.
• Possess a detailed understanding of project engineering deliverables if/when site-based i.e. Project management, Commissioning, Project butt-listing, Project handover/close-out.
• Provide assistance with marketing activities including providing technical information and support required for the marketing effort and preparation of relevant proposals.
• Be computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite, AVEVA Diagrams (or similar),AutoCAD (3D preferable), etc.
• Have effective interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, ethical and confident.
