    Data Capturer

    Job description

    Position Summary

    Provides administrative support and assists with capturing of Data into TIER.Net and WebDHIS. To ensure that all data for allocated facilities is validated, complete and correct.

    Key measurable outputs of the position include:

    • Record Keeping
    • Data Capturing
    • Reporting
    • Validation
    • Information Management.

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Standard 10 (Grade 12) / N3 or equivalent
    • 1 year relevant experience.

    Technical Knowledge and Skills Required.

    • General (pre-requisite)
    • General administration and project coordination skills
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Outlook and Excel.
    • Being part of a team
    • Good at working on a system.
    • Valid Drivers’ License preferred.
    • Min 1 year previous data entry experience in a data management environment
    • Data capture experience in a medical environment advantageous.
    • Computer Literacy (TIER.Net, DHIS, MS Office)
    • Good numeracy and communication skills.
    • Organisation (orientation/probation)
    • Understanding of medical terminology recommended but not essential
    • Understanding of DHMIS Policy and ART M&E SOP
    • Operational knowledge of BR approach and processes
    • Role (foundational knowledge)
    • Understanding healthcare systems and relationships in resource limited settings.
    • Changing knowledge requirements
    • Continuous self-development in line with relevant Department of Health policies and guidelines and systems and administration.
