What you'll do

• Head up our global operations which includes customer onboarding and support, customer funding and global payment integrations, fraud and compliance
• Manage other team leads for these business units and co-ordinate and prioritise effectively across them
• Hire, develop and help train the broader global operations team
• Work closely with product, engineering and country teams to build best-in-class customer onboarding experiences across multiple countries
• Help create the overall strategy for the business and lead execution of implementation
• Be the key contact and manage various bank and vendor relationships around the world
• Report directly to the CEO and be part of the Luno management team

What you’ll need

• University degree from reputable tertiary institution
• 4-10 years proven experience in a similar role or as COO or CEO of a business
• Fintech or financial services experienced preferred
• Strong leadership skills and the desire to develop other leaders
• Exceptional communication skills with a ‘get things done’ attitude
• Experience of operating in a highly customer-centric culture
• Strong desire to learn new information and techniques in a constantly evolving field
• Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and very high level of integrity
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• A work permit for South Africa if you are not a South African citizen
