Purpose of the Job:

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced artwork controllerto be responsible for the efficient commissioning of artwork, covers and design related materials.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate and related tertiary qualification.
• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in artwork control.
• A working knowledge of Adobe CC and/or other design software/s.
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
• Possess excellent project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to identify & mitigate risks, and determine the best possible solutions.
• Ability to apply technical skills and experience to meet and exceed job requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Active participation in PPM’s to analyse requirements for program.
• Identify and commission resources required.
• Develop schedules.
• Receive, review and compare artwork briefs and references.
• Ensure artwork quality meets the prescribed requirements.
• Review & request permissions.
• Manage and maintain budgets per title.
• Identifying and mitigate risks.
• Manage artwork & review process.
• Process relevant documentation.
• Archiving.
