A reputable company in the chemicals industry is seeking the expertise of a seasoned Supply Chain Manager who will take ownership for the entire Supply Chain strategies. The required experience in order to be considered the successful candidate for this role is product management, procurement, operational strategy implementation, customer service and monitoring service levels thereafter.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire supply chain - procurement, distribution, warehousing & planning
• Strategic implementation of supply and logistics initiatives with regards to the company’s customer segments
• Participate in the development and implementation of the supply chain strategy
• Design a cost effective supply chain that is aligned to business objectives and meets customer and client requirements
• Design and optimise logistics and supply chain operational processes
• Identify and address opportunities to improve service, costs and efficiency in the logistics and supply chain process
• Implementing new logistics networks that result in increased profitability
• Implementing operating models and systems in order to reduce unnecessary cost and driving service delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management OR BEng in Industrial Engineering (Non-negotiable)
• Post graduate degree will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 6 years in a Supply Chain Manager role with a proven track record of implementing Supply Chain strategies
• Product knowledge working with raw materials and finished goods in a chemicals / manufacturing discipline
• Experience customer service improvement plans
