    Ingredients Sales Manager

    Job description

    Position Purpose & Summary

    Responsible for ingredients business for CAN MEA in assigned region reporting to the Commercial Lead Ingredients CAN MEA. This role generates sales and tonnage within their regional scope and manages identified risks by performing customer facing complex merchandising/Trading work with medium risk limits including customer interface/Scope, Commercial/risk management for the company short to long terms goals.

    Customer Interface/ Commercials 40%

    • Works with customers on daily basis to manage commercial impact decisions / accounts within a specific multi country/multi state markets
    • Works directly with customers, internal departments, suppliers and core cash business counterparties in developing business solutions to meet customer needs for a specific product requiring a thorough understanding of merchandising & commercial practices and procedures.
    • Continuously develops deep knowledge of the customer business strategy requirements/needs and competitor offerings to work towards trusted advisor
    • Initiates, develops and maintains customer working relationship making the overall success of customer relationships measurable via delivering significant business/financial impact within area of scope (i.e. portfolios of products/services within defined geography)
    • Manage forecasting expectations to develop business and strategically modify angles to meet on sales/volumes for his/her regional scope keeping in line with company financial targets

    Markets/ Risk Management 30%

    • With limited oversight identifies and coordinates cross-functional contacts to strengthen and build strong long-term business relationships with internal departments (RMS, GMS, CS, FIN) to further build on customer sustainable growth and support our full offerings as CAN.
    • Demonstrates value proposition of business to customer through knowledge of key markets insights and monitors closely the relationship for continuous value creation and optimization moving to trusted advisor.
    • With Limited oversight occasionally coordinate supply chain locally and with GMS with management and integration components such as inventories, in-transit, production scheduling and carrier availability and costs.
    • Generates and responsible for own Demand, position taking and frequently completes daily/weekly/monthly reports on position, profitability estimates reporting to RMS and Financial departments.
    • Executes from market knowledges either to decrease or increase demands to take full value capture of their positions inline with there forecasts.

    Develpoment and Solutions 30%

    • Establishes strategic/tactical coordination across-BUs and may directly drive cross-selling opportunities with other business units to provide an integrated approach to meet/exceed customers current/future needs and requirements as well as gain customer long-term/continued commitment.
    • Highly encouraged to identify new accounts, products for future trade and emerging relationships within reginal scope
    • Manage within your regional scope in portfolio construction aligning to Cargill core capabilities.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in autonomous commercial roles with a track record of being able to grow a sustainable and increasing business
    • Have Commodities or trading background 4-year experience
    • Strong team player with a genuine own identity
    • Proven financial and operational understanding
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Business to Business Experience
    • Superior key account management skills
    • Proven skills in leading broad projects
    • Result oriented
    • Local language & excellent command of English
    • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
    • Good computer skills, full domain of Microsoft Office

    Preferred Qualifications

    University degree (in Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary Science) ideally combined with business degree or training.
