Job Purpose:

To control the professional and technical processes associated with the provision of Engineering service to internal / external clients through research and evaluation of best practice and cost effective approaches, provision of guidance and advice on the formulation of proposals and design concepts.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Evaluates and comments on options and alternatives with respect to the planning and delivery of complex engineering works.
• Disseminates information on the professional aspects of structural design concepts and provides reports.
• Provides advice/information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications associated with complex forms of engineering projects.
• Applies principles and techniques associated with the development and presentation of technical designs for complex forms of engineering works.
• Coordinates and /guides sequences and procedures associated with the preparation collation of contract documentation and/ or evaluating tender applications for complex forms of engineering works.
• Defines standards and controls the implementation/ outcomes of complex forms of engineering contracts.

Essential Requirements:

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with the Engineering Council of South Africa; plus Internal Assessment.
• Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code B or EB).
• No experience required.
