Job description
The job will focus on sales support and product development in the entire region as well as some direct sales contact to DSV customers. Initial focus will be in Air & Sea South Africa.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years Freight Forwarding experience(operations / sales).
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Proven track record in being able to sell into existing and new client base.
- Experience with sales and a commercial approach to customers in general, cargo insurance terms and freight forwarding.
- Be flexible and willing to travel to divisional branches to collaborate with sales teams.
- Must have a reliable transport to and from work.
- Ability to work overtime and extended hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will establish and lead sales support within regional scope, and ensure market driven approach to cargo insurance with regional countries. The development of a stakeholder network within country and sales management is an important part of the job.
- You should expect to have a number of days travelling to visit DSV branches and/or your customers, It is therefore important that you are flexible and willing to travel and work at different locations.
- Daily tasks will be in our Sales organisation where you will be supported by underwriters and claims handlers.

- Develop cargo insurance products in regional markets.
- Joint work with underwriters at DSVI on opportunities within regional scope.
- Active sales towards DSV customers in collaboration with local sales.

Optimization of production and development through participation in projects.

- Use input from partners (sales, operations, network) to ensure cargo insurance product is aligned with market needs.
- Sales/ Communication.
- Communicate requirements and results to peers within scope.
- Participation in meetings with colleagues, clients as required or requested by local sale.
- Actively pursue sales leads generated by market intelligence or local sales input.
- Issue and execute sales action plans for countries within scope.
- Administration.
- Follow processes, procedures as outlined by Group Insurance.
- Writing manuals and documentation for cargo insurance as required.
