The Position

The position of Chief Financial Officer sits within the Accounts Department and is responsible for the overall management of the Accounts function and the supervision of the Accounting Team.

Responsibilities

• Management of the finance department
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis for management, the CEO, the Board of Directors and the Shareholders
• Attend MANCO meetings and report on matters pertaining to the finance department
• Cashflow forecasts for the company
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual deadline driven reporting packages for the Shareholders in South Africa and the USA
• Report results in IFRS and US GAAP
• Work with the secretarial services provider to ensure company information is updated as required
• Manage the Annual Financial Statement audit
• Performing costs analysis in order to identify potential cost savings
• Reporting to the National Credit Regulator
• Management of all aspects of the BEE scorecard
• Assist with business cases for expansion and new offerings
• Adhere to internal audit requirements as needed
• Manage policies related to the finance department

Education & Experience Requirements

• Tertiary qualification
• Experience in an finance role (recommended)
• Microsoft Excel skills required
