    Showroom assistant / Receptionist / Junior Sales Representative

    Job description

    Responsibilities which can be expected:

    • Manage showroom customer enquiries and sales
    • Answer the phone
    • Be required to work for 3 hours on a couple of Saturdays a month
    • Prepare quotes, order confirmations and all other relevant sales documents.
    • Submitting purchase orders according to signed sale agreement
    • Generate sales leads and sales lead tracking.
    • Activity and results reports, such as daily call sheets and monthly and annual analyses..
    • Ensuring proper and detailed recordkeeping throughout the sales process.
    • To ensure all orders are processed timeously and correctly according to the client’s request.
    • Ensure all agreements and revisions (from the original agreement) are in writing and signed by the client.
    • Collecting payments on time
    • Ensuring the showroom is always maintained at a high level and everything is in place and priced.
    • Ensuring that the Upstart Office Culture is maintained
    • Creating personal relationships with Clients
    • Communicating with clients in a professional manner.
    • Executing effective after-sales service.
    • Training will be provided on furniture and dependent on growth, a full time sales representative position may be offered at a future date

    So what skills and experience are we looking for?

    • No previous sales experience is necessary, but would be beneficial
    • Technically orientated and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • A minimum of Grade 12, a tertiary qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Presentable and professional
    • Bilingual (At least two of South African official languages, with English being the primary language medium due to our clients requirements)
    • Good with people.
    • Driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
