    Workforce Management Specialist

    Job Description

    The role has an excellent understanding of workforce planning and OD methodologies, and contributes to the development of the global workforce planning strategy. The role supports the maintenance of the job framework within the organization. They work closely with business to ensure the standardization and alignment of job descriptions, including the maintenance of processes and tools that they have assisted in designing.

    They support the alignment of global reward strategies and HR policies to ensure the most effective organizational design. This role successfully plans and executes such engagements together with the Workforce Planning team to drive related activities into the business via regional owners and regional HR leadership. The role analyses, builds and provides advice on organizational charts and workspace requirements.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    •  Knowledge and understanding of IT industry, job framework architecture and OD best-practices
    •  A good business and commercial orientation
    •  Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
    •  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly at all levels
    •  Excellent analytical skills with good attention to detail, including ability to design and conduct audits
    •  The ability to recognise opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement
    •  Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the workforce planning delivery and implementation
    •  Ability to understand complex HRIS architectures to ensure an effective delivery and execution of the various projects
    •  Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business
    •  Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously

    Work Outputs

    • Job design: The incumbent will use their strong consulting and engagement skills to work with relevant line managers and subject matter experts to develop job descriptions, profiles and competencies required in relation to the workforce plan. They ensure that regions, business and service units are effectively utilizing job descriptions aligned to global standards. This employee will work with relevant subject matter experts to understand job requirements and develop new job descriptions where required.
    • Job Mapping: Through regional owner teams, the role will help ensure that all employees across the globe are correctly mapped to a relevant DDJF role profile. This role will govern change requests and assist with the development of an employee mapping process that he/she will roll out across the regions, service and business units. They will work closely with the regional teams to understand their employee mapping needs, and will project manage the process whilst ensuring that the tracking reports are maintained.
    • Database Management: The role will maintain a database of job descriptions, competencies and certifications in line with Dimension Data Job Framework and Workforce Planning strategy. This role will ensure consistent reporting against programme requirements using the tools and systems available (e.g. Workday). These individuals use their analytical skills to produce gap reports and analytics, and work with the business and regions to address gaps.
    • Conduct Audits: The role will use their excellent project management skills to plan and execute capability audits across the organization. This individual will support the design, build and production of reporting tools and dashboards to effectively analyze the results of the audits and identify gaps. This role will support the Workforce Planning team to socialize these results with the management and leadership within the business to drive change in line with best practice methodologies.
    • Mergers & Acquisitions: This role contributes to the due diligence and management of mergers and acquisitions activities, including associated Managed Services people activities. In line with the Group Managed Services and M&A methodology, they will ensure that the required talent planning processes are applied correctly to enable successful implementation. This includes conducting due diligence activities, culture fit assessments, remuneration and employee benefit analysis, on-boarding plans and the like. Utilizing excellent project / relationship management and data analysis skills, this role will compile reports to facilitate effective strategic, financial and operational decisions.

     

    Qualifications

    •  10+ years’ experience in a generalist or specialist HR function within a global organisation or large technology environment.
    •  Working knowledge of workforce planning and OD methodologies.
    •  Proven track record of HR project delivery and change management activities.
    •  Degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources
    •  Organisational Design specialisation preferred.
