    Sales Business Development Consultant

    Job description

    The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with new and existing clients within the Travel Industry whilst achieving sell-on targets and strategic account objectives.
    Positions available in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town

    Key Performance Areas

    • Assists in translating the assigned sector strategy into tactical (annual) business development plans for execution, in conjunction with the Head of Business Development, Marketing & Communications
    • Serves as a business development liaison point for sector, practice group and business unit leaders, partners and managers and works with them to develop and implement clients and sector plans as well as local product campaigns that (a) generate business leads, (b) expand existing client matters and (C) drive cross-selling opportunities across the firm.
    • Generating new sales, managing the sales process across Gauteng
    • Increase revenue through sales and client satisfaction
    • Ensure delivery of sales targets for the business
    • Weekly cold calling
    • Call reports to be submitted weekly
    • Compile prospect plan, reviewing and updating monthly with management
    • Initiate/develop business development solutions for the various markets/segments
    • Carry a sales quota to be delivered on annually Direct Sales, business development, including sales, pre-sales and solutions business development
    • Ensure that a professional Business Enablement (Pre sales) Department responds/delivers the appropriate business cases/proposals etc.
    • Procurement of new corporate accounts
    • Completing of required reports

    Qualification and Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 2 Years working experience in a similar position in the travel Industry
    • Matric and/ Sales related Diploma or Degree
    • Strong understanding and exposure to the Corporate Travel Industry
    • Minimum of 3 – 5 years proven sales experience in B2B Sales – preferably in the Travel Industry.
